"I'm going to the Ole Miss/Alabama game on October 13th," said offensive lineman Jamie Mitchell. "They have offered me a scholarship and I want to check out a game. I'm open at this time but I don't want to go too far from home."
Mitchell is a vastly underrated prospect from Forest Hills, Mississippi. He stands 6-foot-6 and weighs 265 pounds. Mitchell plays right tackle on offense and he's athletic enough to play on the defensive line in the state's highest classification. He has recorded 39 tackles and one sack in four games this season.
Other schools on Mitchell's list are Louisiana State and Mississippi State. The Bulldogs have a pair of current players with an interest to Mitchell.
"I know Dontae Walker and Tommy Kelly at Mississippi State," said Mitchell.
Mitchell attended summer football camp at Ole Miss in 2000. He says the environment at each school will weigh into his decision and he plans to major in business.
