Jeremy looks for future.

Jeremy had a monster junior campaign at N' West Rankin and he is looking to have an even bigger year next season.

The following information was revealed during our interview with Mr. Bibbs:

What is your current height, weight, and forty time? "I am 6' 2" and 208 right now. I have lost about 15 pounds playing basketball. I was 220 during the (football) season. The last time I ran the 40, I ran a 4.4."

Which position are you being recruited to play on the next level? "Running back, yes sir."

What do you consider to be your strengths on the field? "My break away speed, and just blocking and finding the hole."

What are you trying to work on to take your game to the next level? "I am trying to work on my speed and how to read the blocks. The defensive alignments and things like that."

How long have you been starting for N' West Rankin? "Which sport?"

Football? "Last year was my first year to start. I played a lot my sophomore year (650 rushing yards and 13 TD's), but I did not start."

What other sports do you play? "Basketball."

How long have you been starting in hoops? "Ever since my freshman season."

Which position do you play? "Man, everything from PG to C."

Do you want to play both sports on the next level? "Yes, I have been giving that a lot of thought, and that is what I would like to do."

Which sport will you invest most of your time with? "Football, yes sir. I will pretty much do what the (football) coaches want me to do. I just hope they let me play basketball too."

Tell us about N' West Rankin's football squad last year. "We were pretty good. We went 8 - 5 and lost in the second round of the playoffs."

Who is the best player you have ever faced on the football field? "Man, that would be Garry Pack. He hits you real hard (laugh), but he can run the ball too."

What were your stats from your junior campaign? "They said in the paper that I had over 1, 500 yards (Jeremy rushed for 1, 616 yards and 23 TD's according to the Clarion Ledger), but I do not keep up with those things. I do not want people to think that I think all highly of myself. I am not like that."

Which awards did you receive for your play? "I won the Player of Year by Bank Plus Blitz. That goes to the top player in Jackson. I was Player of the Week a couple of times (Clarion Ledger), and I also made 1st Team All-Metro (Clarion Ledger)."

Did you grow up rooting for a certain team? "No sir, I was not into football. I played because my dad wanted me to play. Ever since then, I liked it."

Which schools are currently writing you? "Right now, LSU and Ole Miss are sending me the most stuff. I receive letters from Miami and Florida. There are a lot more, but I can not think of them all. Michigan, Ohio State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, a lot more, like Alabama and the rest of the SEC schools. I just can not think of them all."

Which school(s), do you feel, is recruiting you the hardest? "Right now, I think that would be Ole Miss and LSU."

Have you received any early scholarship offers? "Not that I know of."

Although it is very early in the recruiting process, have any schools caught your eye? "Last week, I went to Ole Miss. It was a pretty decent school. Tomorrow, I am suppose to go to LSU for their Junior Day, like the one I went to at Ole Miss. But interest wise, I really do not know."

How did your visit to Ole Miss go? "It went very nice. It went well. They showed us around the campus, and they showed us their new facilities. The indoor practice field and track. They also showed us their new turf that is on their field and indoor facility."

Did anyone accompany you on your trip? "Yes sir, my dad and stepmom."

How did they like it? "They highly recommended it. My dad told me he would like to see me there."

Was this your first trip to Oxford? "Ever since I was in the 9th grade, yes sir. I went one time during my freshman season."

Did you go to a football game that year? "Yes sir, I went to go see Deuce play."

What stood out the most about Ole Miss during your trip? "I think their stadium is pretty nice. The school is nice too."

What did you learn about Ole Miss that you did not know from before? "That they were more focused on academics than football. I liked that part. I know I will need more academic help than football (help)."

Did you get a chance to attend any football games last fall? "No sir, I did not."

Will you be attending anymore Junior Days after the LSU trip? "I do not think so."

Which camps will you attend this Spring and Summer? "I will probably go to the Nike Camps at Georgia Tech and LSU."

When you are trying to find the right school for you; what will you look for? "The first thing is do they need a running back. Just how their program is. Are they a passing or running team?"

What is your current GPA and ACT score? "I have a 3.0 GPA and I am retaking the ACT test this April 29th."
