Although big brother, Peria Jerry, got most of the ink this season, John provided a lot of ump down in the trenches.

Schools from all over the country have begun to take notice from the sophomore. In fact, Ole Miss has already offered.

The following information was revealed during our interview with Mr. Jerry:

What is your current height, weight and forty time? "I am just under 6' 7" and I am up to 325. It is Christmas time. Too many cookies, but I will get it back off."

What are your strengths on the field? "Just making plays. I get around pretty good for a big man. I clog up the running lanes and let my boys take it over from there. But, I can get to the ball too."

What are you trying to work on? "Just staying low off the blocks. That is about it. I can always learn some more and get stronger."

What are you benching these days? "Around 400."

Which position(s) have you played in your two years at South Panola.? "I start at nose guard, but I have played some offensive tackle and even tight end. I can catch too."

How long have you been starting for South Panola? "Well, this is my first year really. Last year, when I was a freshman, I got most of the snaps but a senior started ahead of me. He had more experience."

What were your stats as a freshman? "I think I had 58 tackles and 7 sacks."

What about this year? "I believe I had 71 tackles and 6 sacks. I was the fifth leading tackler on the team."

Did you receive any awards? "Yes sir, I made 1st Team All-Region and All-District. I made both those teams last year too."

Have you begun to receive any letters from the surrounding universities ? "Oh, yes sir, every day I get something."

Who all is writing you? "Man, just about everybody. You know, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Auburn, Miami, FSU, Florida, Alabama, Auburn, MSU, West Virginia, Marshall. Really, I can not even begin to think of them all."

Any early offers? "Ole Miss has. The rest just tell me they want me to think about them, but I have never spoken to them in person or anything (editor's note: It is illegal for colleges to have person to person contact with a 10th or 11th grade student, unless they are on their campus).

Would you like to join Peria (Jerry) on the next level? "Yea, we talk about that a lot. I really do not even know yet. I have to see what everybody's got and kind of feel it out from there."

What is your current GPA? "I do not know, but I know I am a "B" student."
