The following information was revealed during our interview with Mr. Neely:

Have you visited any campuses recently? "Actually, I am at Ole Miss right now with my dad and girlfriend. We are here for the weekend."

What all do you have planed for the weekend? "Well, I got a chance to tour their new indoor facility. That place is really impressive. I met with Coaches Cutcliffe and Hopson this morning. I committed, so it is very exciting around here."

What was Coach Hopson's reaction when you told him that you were committing to Ole Miss? "He was pretty excited, really excited, as was Coach Cutcliffe."

What made you decide to go ahead and pull the trigger? "I thought it would be good to go ahead and put this behind me. That way, I can just concentrate on my senior year and not worry about all of that stuff."

In the end, why did you choose Ole Miss? "Wow, I just could not imagine playing for anyone else. It just feels like home up here. Their coaches and players were probably the two biggest things. That is who you spend the most time around, and I just felt the most comfortable around them. And besides, I grew up a Rebel. It is just in my blood."

Who would you say came in second place for your services? "Probably LSU. If I were to decide on two schools, it would be Ole Miss and LSU, but Ole Miss was by far my favorite school."

When do you plan to inform the LSU staff of your decision? "Well, I have not really thought about that too much. I guess I figured they would hear it through the grapevine."

Do you plan on trying to recruit some other players to join you? "Well, that was another reason I decided to go ahead and commit. I figured this would make it easier for the other top players to commit."

Lastly, will you still take all of your allowed official visits? "Man, I have never even thought about that. I would imagine I would just do one and that would be Ole Miss, but I have not sat down with my family and discussed that yet."

Reid carries a 3.5 GPA and a 20 on his ACT test.
