The bond between the McAdams and Coach Cutcliffe seem to run deep, as the Rebels are the clear cut leaders for Blake's services.

The following information was revealed during our interview with Mr. McAdams:

What is your current height, weight, and forty time? "I am 6' 0", 180, and I run a 4.6 forty."

Are you being recruited for the punter position on the next level? "Probably punter, but right now, it is hard to tell. It is half and half, probably."

Where else are you being recruited to play? "Safety."

What are your strengths at punting? "I have a good hang time, and my average is over 40 yards. The better hang time gives you a better chance to cover the punt."

What do you need to work on? "Basically getting my time off from the snapper to me, and also my directional punting."

How long have you been starting for Ripley? "Since my freshman season."

All at punter? "I have started at punter, quarterback, and safety my whole career here."

Do you remember your stats from your junior season? "I only know my punting stats, my father has the other ones. I averaged over 41 yards a punt last year, and I had 13 kicks inside the 15 yard line."

Did you garner any awards? "Yes sir, I was 1st Team All-State at DB, and I was the Region 7 (3A) Player of the Year. I was also a Junior to Watch by the Jackson Sun."

Which position do you want to play on the next level? "I like defense a lot. I have always prided myself in playing good defense, but I know I might not have the speed to play in the SEC, so punter is where I will most likely end up."

Which schools are showing you the most interest? "Right now, Ole Miss,. Really Ole Miss is the most. Right now, they can not talk to me, but I can talk to them. I have been calling them a lot. I have a good relationship with their staff. Them and Memphis. I get letters from them every week."

Who else is writing you? "Tennessee does a lot, Arkansas, Nebraska sends a lot, Kentucky, MTSU, Missouri, LSU has been sending me a lot of stuff. Those are the main ones."

Any offers? "Ole Miss has kind of said they are going to. They are definitely taking a punter with Cody (Ridgeway) graduating and all. I will have a good chance to come in there and take over the job."

Which schools have caught your early interest? "I like Ole Miss a lot. My dad went to Knoxville when Coach Cut was there. He was there at the same time. My dad played for him from '80 - '85. Coach Cutcliffe is someone who I would like to play for one day."

What all do you like about Ole Miss? "I like their coaching staff, and they are fixing to have some brand new facilities, with their new weight room and indoor practice field and all. Their stadium is nice, and their campus is real nice. I do not know, I just like it down there."

Have you given any thoughts to making an early commitment to Ole Miss? "Not yet, I am still waiting to see what the other schools have to offer."

Have you taken any unofficial visits in the past year? "I went to the Ole Miss/LSU game. I also went to the Ole Miss/Memphis game, and I went up to Tennessee to see them play Georgia."

What will you be looking at when you are trying to find the best school for you? "Of course, I will look at their facilities, coaching staff, how good they are, academics, and all of that stuff.

Blake scored a 21 on his ACT test and carries a 3.65 GPA.
