Kenneth Charles is looking Ole Miss' way
The following information was revealed during our interview with Kenneth Charles:
What is your current height, weight, and forty time? "I am 6' 3", 185, and I run a 4.5 forty."
Which position are you being recruited to play on the next level? "Wide receiver.."
What are your strengths on the field? "My catching ability. I can catch the ball real good. I am a good blocker. I can go down there and get physical. I also play corner too. I go both ways."
What are your working on for the next level? "I am trying to get my speed down and put on at least 15 pounds."
How long have you been starting for Jennings (3A)? "Three years."
Both ways each year? "My sophomore year, I played just offense. Last year and this year, I have been starting both ways."
What were your stats as a junior? "I had 35 catches for 450 yards and 3 TD's."
Any awards? "I was named 1st Team All-Parish and 2nd Team District at WR."
How is this season going? "This year, we are running the ball more, so when I have had an opportunity, I made something of it. I have 28 catches for 485 yards, and I also have 4 returns for TD's. On defense, I have 4 picks and 40 something tackles."
Which schools have phoned you in the last week? "Tulane, La Tech, Ole Miss, and Oklahoma State."
Which schools are at the top of your list? "Ole Miss, La Tech, and Tulane."
What do you like about Ole Miss? "They are a big time program in the SEC. I also like their coaches."
What do you like about Tulane? "It is in New Orleans. They have great coaches and a great medical school."
La Tech? "They put the ball up in the air a lot."
Have you lined up any official visits? "La Tech is talking about it, but we have not put an exact date down. Ole Miss wants me to visit in December, but we have not put a date down. Oklahoma State wants me to come in January."
What will you be looking for when it comes decision time? "Well, first of all, I want a great education. The coaches, players, my surroundings, all of that will be important. I also want to be on the field and stay on the field. I want to show everyone what I can do."
Kenneth carries a 2.7 GPA and a 17 on the ACT.
