Calvin Wilson set to attend the Egg Bowl
How is the season going? "We got beat by Ocean Springs in the playoffs."
Talk about your year? "It was a better season than I have been having. It was the first time I got to play offensive line all year, and I believe I learned a lot from it. We went further than I anticipated, so I am proud of our team. I believe we have set the bar for the next class to do better than us."
What most did you improve on this year? "My toughness and being more aggressive."
Has your visit schedule changed? "I had to do a lot of changing around. I go to LSU on December 3rd and Mississippi State on January 14th. I will visit Auburn and Ole Miss. I am just waiting on them to give me a date. I am trying to decide if I am going to take that last visit or not."
Which schools are in contention for that last visit? "Probably USM or Tennessee."
Which schools have called you in the past week? "I have heard from MSU, Ole Miss, Auburn, West Virginia, and USM."
Where does Florida now fit in? "I mean, they still call, but I would not say they are at the top of my list or anything."
Who do you feel is recruiting you the hardest? "All of them are recruiting me hard. Auburn and MSU, but I hear a lot from everybody. LSU too, Ole Miss, they are all pretty much the same."
Been to any games recently? "I went to MSU last weekend to see them play Arkansas. I went to Ole Miss the weekend before that, and I am going back to Ole Miss this weekend to the Egg Bowl, unofficially."
What will you be looking for during the Egg Bowl? "I want to see how each staff conducts themselves during the game. How do they coach them during the game? I will also be looking at the plays they are running. Things like that."
Does who wins and who loses have much of an impact with you? "Not really."
Calvin projects as a full qualifier with a 2.5 GPA and an 18 on the ACT.
