All is not lost on the recruiting front

Even with the uncertainty surrounding the Rebel program, staff members were out on the road on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. It looks like they racked up some impressive recruits to take an official visit with the University of Mississippi. <br><br> The prospects listed in this article have all confirmed that they will take an official visit with Ole Miss.


December 3rd


Larry Brackins (WR, Pearl River CC, MS) - Named 1st Team NJCAA All-American. Will visit Ole Miss, USC, FSU, LSU, and Texas A&M. May prospect. (Red prospect in our index)

Levance Richmond (S, Pearl River CC, MS) - The 5' 11", 200 pound safety was named 1st Team NJCAA All-American after leading the country in interceptions with 12 (5 in the playoffs) and also had 6 touchdowns at wide receiver. December prospect. (Red prospect in our index)

LaKeitharun Ford (CB, MS Delta CC, MS) - Listed as 5' 8", 175, with 4.4 speed. (Red prospect in our index)


December 10th

Jerome Lyons ((LB, ICC, MS) - Listed as 6' 3", 230. Thought of as the best juco LB in the state of MS. Arkansas, Ole Miss, and MSU are the three main players. December prospect with 3 to play 3. (Red prospect in our index)

Ryan McBean (DT, Hinds CC, MS) - Earned 1st Team All-State status this season. Noted as the top defensive tackle in the state of Mississippi. Listed as 6' 5", 270. Will visit Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Oklahoma State. December prospect. (Red prospect in our index)


December 15th

Nolan Carroll (WR, Jacksonville, FL) - The 4.31 forty track star will visit Purdue, Ole Miss, MY, Louisville, and Central Florida. (Red prospect in our index)

Guesly Dervil (DB, Jacksonville, FL) - The 3 Star dB/WR athlete has Ole Miss, Clemson, N.C. State, and West Virginia at the top of his list. (Red prospect in our index)

Austin Divinity (S, Jackson, MS) - One of the best pure athletes in the state of Mississippi. Ole Miss, Alabama, and USM top the charts.

Chad Green (DE, Hinds CC, MS) - Named Defensive Player of the Year in the state of Mississippi. Was a 1st Team NJCAA All-American. Soft commitment for North Carolina State but still interested in USC, Tennessee, LSU, and Ole Miss. May Prospect. (Red prospect in our index)

Greg Peterson (DE, Hinds CC, MS) - Named 1st Team All-State and earned All-American status this season. Placed at Hinds by NC State but did not sign with the Wolfpack out of high school. Ole Miss and North Carolina State are the two main players. Florida State is also in the mix. (Red prospect in our index)

Brian White (LB, Springhill, LA) - Listed as 6' 3", 220, with 4.6 speed. Moved to "Red" status a week ago after being evaluated by Coach Hopson. As we learn more about Mr. White, we will fill in the blanks. (Red prospect in our index)



January 21st

Zach Anderson (DL, East MC CC) - The 6-4, 266-pounder took home the JUCO Defensive Player of the Year award in the North as well as 1st-team all-state and 1st-team all-region DT honors. Will visit Ole Miss, Louisville, Wisconsin, and Texas A&M. (Red prospect in our index)

Jon Demps (LB, Pensacola, FL) - Scout.com's #33 LB and 4 star prospect is set to visit Ole Miss, FSU, Auburn, LSU, and Miami. (Red prospect in our index)

Marcus Green (RB, Bastrop, LA) - Scout.com ranks Marcus as a 3 star prospect. Ole Miss and Arkansas are thought to be the two leaders. Oklahoma State is also in the picture. (Red prospect in our index)

Eugene Hayes (LB, Madison, FL) - Scout.com's #2 nationally ranked prospect (5 Star) is set to visit Ole Miss, Auburn, Georgia, and USC. (Red prospect in our index)

Carlton Hill (Ath, Monticello, FL) - Scout.com's #25 ranked QB is set to visit Ole Miss, NC State, Purdue, and South Florida. (Red prospect in our index)

Anthony Johnson (CB, Jackson, MS) - Scout.com's 21st ranked cornerback is set to visit Ole Miss, MSU, and Alabama. Anthony's father played at MSU. (Red prospect in our index)

DeAnte Lamar (CB, Lithonia, GA) - Will visit Auburn and Ole Miss. Georgia is still in the mix. (Red prospect in our index)

Rogers Loche (LB, Bastrop, LA) - Was offered by UCLA, Arkansas, Arizona State, South Carolina, and Texas A&M before casting his lot with the Rebels. (Red prospect in our index)

Shaddler Manning (DE, Co-Linn CC, MS) - Listed as 6' 5", 265, and is thought to be the best kept secret in the MS juco ranks. (Red prospect in our index)

Zach Schreiber (LB, Shreveport, LA) - 3 Star prospect is set to visit Ole Miss, Alabama, and Texas Tech. (Red prospect in our index)

Calvin Wilson (OL, Hattiesburg, MS) - 3 Star prospect is set to visit Ole Miss, MSU, Auburn, and LSU. (Red prospect in our index)


January 29th


Reid Neely (OL, Jackson, MS) - The 6' 6", 292 pound youngster is a member of Scout.Com's 1st Team All-Mississippi team. Committed to Ole Miss. (Red prospect in our index)

As you can see, the Rebels have lined up an all-star cast of visitors, and lets hope that the new staff can hold on to them.
