Official Visit Tidbits

All if the prospects who were scheduled to take an official visit with Ole Miss arrived on Friday.

How did the visits go?

To read what our sources say, click here.

Larry Brackins
Larry Brackins (WR, Pearl River CC, MS) - The nation's most sought after junior college prospect had a "better than expected" time during his visit, according to our sources. In fact, if Ole Miss were to sign a head coach who likes to "sling" it, our sources feel very comfortable that Brackins will be a Rebel.

Ole Miss has a lot of connections with Larry. Former Rebel, Anthony Magee, coaches him at Pearl River. His best friend, Larrick Kendrick, currently plays for the Rebels. Kendrick was Larry's host for the weekend.

Due to Larry being a May prospect, added to the fact that his decision will most likely come very late in the recruiting process, Brackins should not hurt the Rebel's chances with their other wide receiver prospects.

Lekeitharn Ford
Lekeitharun Ford (CB, MS Delta CC, MS) - Mississippi's top cover corner reportedly was ready to commit during his official visit with Ole Miss, but the Rebels will have to see who their new head coach is before an offer is made.

Ford was hosted by former MS Delta CC standout, Corvelli Haynes, during the visit.

Levance Richmond (S, Pearl River CC, MS) - The nation's leading interceptions leader, was ready to commit during his official visit. But, like Lekeitharun, the new head coach will have to make that decision.

Our sources are very concerned about the possibility of a coach not being in place by next Wednesday.

The early signing period starts on December 15th, and without a new coach in place, they might not have the authority to sign any prospects until a new head coach is in place. Right now, everyone is checking into what the ruling would be, but needless to say, keep your fingers crossed that a coach is in place by next weekend.
