Green, who committed to North Carolina State last summer, is still being actively recruited by LSU, Florida, USC, Virginia, Ole Miss, and Tennessee. Green will most likely take all five of his allowed official visits.

Chad Green discusses his top schools.

The following information was revealed during our interview with Chad Green on November 30th:


What is your current height, weight, and forty time? "I am 6' 5", 242, and I run a 4.4 forty."

What do you currently bench and squat? "420 (bench) and 575 (squat)."

Where are you originally from? "Rocky Mount, North Carolina."

Why did you decide to attend Hinds CC? "Because it is one of the biggest jucos in the country."

Where you placed at Hinds CC by anyone? "No sir."

What were your stats as a freshman? "I led the team in sacks with 14, and I was 3rd in tackles with 88."

Did you garner any awards? "I made All-State, All-Region, and All-American status. I was a Preseason (NJCAA) All-American."

Tell us about your sophomore season? "I do not know the numbers yet. I finished first in tackles and second in sacks though."

Any awards? "I made All-State, All-Region, and I was the Defensive Player of the Year in Mississippi."

Have you set up any official visits yet? "None yet."

Did you get a chance to attend any football games this fall? "I went to an Ole Miss game, and I also went and checked out LSU."

What did you think of the two schools during your visits? "I liked both schools, but I do not think I am going to end up at Ole Miss though."

What did you not like about Ole Miss? "I liked it and all, but I hear they are going to get rid of Coach Cutcliffe. I do not know, I do not want to go into a situation like that."

Which schools are you most likely going to take an official visit with? "LSU, Tennessee, North Carolina State, and USC."

Which schools have offered you a scholarship? "LSU, Florida, USC, Virginia, Ole Miss, Tennessee, man, just about everybody."

Are you still committed to North Carolina State? "Yes sir."

But you will still take your official visits? "Yes sir."

When are you scheduled to graduate from Hinds CC? "Hopefully in May."

Have you received anymore awards since we last spoke? "I told you I was named Defensive Player of the Year (Mississippi), didn't I? I also made All-American (JC Gridiron) again."

Have you set up any official visits yet? 'I am suppose to go to Ole Miss in January (14th), but I am going to set the rest of my visits after Christmas?"

Any inhome visits recently? "Yea, Ole Miss, USM, and Oklahoma State have come by this week."

Which coach made the biggest impression with you? "I do not know. They were all about the same. They came in with the same attitudes and said the same things."

You said you were not really interested in Ole Miss the last time we spoke, but now you are visiting them; does this mean you are now interested? "They are about the same, nothing has changed."

Which schools are now at the top of your list? ""LSU, N.C. State, Florida, and Tennessee."

But you are still committed to North Carolina State? "Yes sir."

Chad is a hopeful May graduate.
