The following information was revealed during our interview with Eric Nicks on December 1, 2004:

How did your season go? "It went pretty good. We made it to North Finals against Clarksdale (4A)."

What were your stats for the season? "I had around 1,200 yards at running back. I do not know what my TD's were, but I know I had over a 100 tackles at linebacker."

Which positions did you start at this year? "Tailback and linebacker."

Any awards been given out? "Not yet, our banquet is held next month, and the State awards come out next week."

What most did you improve on this season? "Defense, I really improved on both though. Last year, I had 700 and something yards rushing and 120 tackles."

Which position do you think you are best suited for? "Offense."

Any schools call you this week? "Ole Miss."

Have you lined up any official visits? "No sir, not yet."

Have anymore schools been in contact with you? "Alabama, MSU, and Auburn have called too."

Which schools are now at the top of your list? "Really, who ever gives me a scholarship. It does not matter to me. I do not want to go to a juco though."

Where do you now stand, academically? "My coach said I need to get at least an 18 on the ACT test, but I can get by with a 16 or 17."

What is your current ACT score? "It has not come back in yet. I just took it."



The following information was revealed during our interview with Eric Nicks on December 11, 2004:

Any awards come out yet? "I made 1st All-State and 1st Team All-Region. I was also our District Player of the Year."

Have you had any inhome visits recently? "Alabama came by last week. Ole Miss is coming by tonight."

Have you lined up your official visits? "Ole Miss is suppose to get it done tonight. I talked to him last night about it."

Which coach have you been talking to from Ole Miss? "Walker Jones."

With Coach Cutcliffe now gone; does that change your interest in Ole Miss? "For a minute, I thought it was, but their assistant athletic director called me and told me I was still high on their list. So, I guess not."

What did Alabama say to you during your inhome visit? "He just wanted to meet me. He told me he found out I was doing better in school, and he wanted me to come play full back or linebacker for them."

Did Alabama offer you a scholarship? "He is calling me back tonight to set up another inhome visit. He is going to talk to me about my scholarship status when he comes back."
