Revised official visit list

The official visit list has been revised since the hiring of Coach Orgeron.<br><br> It is not uncommon, in fact it is the norm, for the prospects and colleges to reschedule and cancel the visits. <br><br>Do not be surprised if you see future changes, but here is the up to date list.

October 17th

Michael Oher (OL, Memphis, TN)'s #5 offensive lineman (5 star) has taken official visits with Ole Miss, Tennessee, and North Carolina State. He will visit LSU and Memphis in January.

December 4th

Larry Brackins (WR, Pearl River CC, MS) - Named 1st Team NJCAA All-American. Will visit USC, FSU, LSU, and Texas A&M.

Levance Richmond (S, Pearl River CC, MS) - The 5' 11", 200 pound safety was named 1st Team NJCAA All-American after leading the country in interceptions with 12 (5 in the playoffs) and also had 6 touchdowns at wide receiver. December prospect.

(CB, MS Delta CC, MS) - Listed as 5' 8", 175, with 4.4 speed. December prospect.

December 11th

Jerome Lyons ((LB, ICC, MS) - Listed as 6' 3", 230. Thought of as the best juco LB in the state of MS. Arkansas, Ole Miss, and MSU are the three main players. December prospect with 3 to play 3.

Ryan McBean (DT, Hinds CC, MS) - Earned 1st Team All-State status this season. Noted as the top defensive tackle in the state of Mississippi. Listed as 6' 5", 270. Will visit West Virginia , Ole Miss, and Oklahoma State. December prospect.

Nolan Carroll (WR, Jacksonville, FL) - Track star who has been timed at a 4.31 forty.

Guesly Dervil (DB, Jacksonville, FL) - The 3 Star dB/WR athlete has Ole Miss, Clemson, N.C. State, and West Virginia at the top of his list.

Austin Divinity (S, Jackson, MS) - One of the best pure athletes in the state of Mississippi. Will take an official visit with Ole Miss (1/14), USM (1/21), and Alabama (1/28).

Chad Green (DE, Hinds CC, MS) - Named Defensive Player of the Year in the state of Mississippi. Was a 1st Team NJCAA All-American. Soft commitment for North Carolina State but still interested in USC, Tennessee, LSU, and Ole Miss. May Prospect.

Cordaro Howard (OL, Phenix, AL) - An All-State selection that is listed as 6' 5", 270.

Michael Johnson
(TE, Dallas County, AL) -'s #38 ranted tight end prospect, listed as 6' 7", is a soft commitment for Georgia Tech.

J.D. Lawhorn (WR, Memphis, TN) - The 6' 1", 190 pound 3 Star prospect committed to the Rebels last summer.

Blake McAdams (P, Ripley, TN) - Named Region 7 (3A) Player of the Year.

Greg Peterson (DE, Hinds CC, MS) - Named 1st Team All-State and earned All-American status this season. Placed at Hinds CC by NC State but did not sign with the Wolfpack out of high school. Ole Miss and North Carolina State are the two main players. May Prospect.

Justin Sparks
(PK, Memphis, TN) - The 6' 3" kicking specialist was offered by Ole Miss, North Carolina State, and Oklahoma State.

Rick Watson (OT, N' West CC, MS) - Listed as 6' 4", 300. Rick is a two year starter at N' West CC and was a 2004 1st Team All-State selection for his play.

Brian White (LB, Springhill, LA) - Listed as 6' 3", 220, with 4.6 speed. Moved to "Red" status a week ago after being evaluated by Coach Hopson. As we learn more about Mr. White, we will fill in the blanks.

Brandyn Young (RB, Tucker, GA) -'s #47 nationally ranked running back is a soft verbal for Maryland.

January 21st

Zach Anderson (DL, East MC CC) - The 6-4, 266-pounder took home the JUCO Defensive Player of the Year award in the North as well as 1st-team all-state and 1st-team all-region DT honors. Will visit Ole Miss, Louisville, Wisconsin, and Texas A&M.

Avery Atkins (CB, Mainland, FL) - The 5 Star athlete is scheduled to visit Miami, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, and Ole Miss.

Craig Bonner (TE, Huntsville, AL) - The 6' 3", 230 pound prospect runs a 4.6 forty.

Brent Davis (LB, Mainland, FL) - One of Florida's top prospects recently came on the Rebel radar. North Carolina State looks to be the main competition.

Jon Demps (LB, Pensacola, FL) -'s #33 LB and 4 star prospect is set to visit Ole Miss, FSU, Auburn, LSU, and Miami.

(TE, Tyrone, GA) - The 6' 5", 250 pound recruit has interest in Ole Miss, MSU, Georgia Tech, and Kentucky.

Jonathan Garner
(QB, Mainland, FL) -'s #36 rated QB prospect has recently decommitted from Florida and has scheduled official visits with Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, and South Carolina.

Marcus Green (RB, Bastrop, LA) - ranks Marcus as a 3 star prospect. Ole Miss and Arkansas are thought to be the two leaders. Oklahoma State is also in the picture.

Eugene Hayes (LB, Madison, FL) -'s #2 nationally ranked prospect (5 Star) is set to visit Ole Miss, Auburn, Georgia, and USC.

Carlton Hill (Ath, Monticello, FL) -'s #25 ranked QB is set to visit Ole Miss, NC State, Purdue, and South Florida.

Anthony Johnson (CB, Jackson, MS) -'s 21st ranked cornerback is set to visit Ole Miss, MSU, and Alabama. Anthony's father played at MSU.

Rogers Loche (LB, Bastrop, LA) - Offered by UCLA, Arizona State, South Carolina, and Texas A&M before casting his lot with the Rebels.

Shaddler Manning (DE, Co-Linn CC, MS) - Listed as 6' 5", 265, and is thought to be the best kept secret in the MS juco ranks.

Jerrell Powe (DL, Waynesboro, MS) -'s #1 rated defensive lineman will vsiit Auburn, Texas A&M, and Ole Miss.

Zach Schreiber (LB, Shreveport, LA) - 3 Star prospect is set to visit Ole Miss, Alabama, and Texas Tech.

(DL, Greenville, MS) - The 6' 3", 285 pound All-State selection was 4th in Class 5A in sacks.

Eric Sledge (WR, Apopka, FL) - The 6' 3" recruit is rated as the #50 overall WR in the country. Offered by the likes of Michigan, Tennessee, Ohio State, West Virginia, Louisville, and Auburn.

Quentin Taylor (LB, Apopka, FL) - The 3 Star LB prospect visited West Virginia on December 10th.

Tony Turner (FB, Orlando, FL) - The 6' 2", 210 pound back is rated as the #59 overall running back in the country by

Calvin Wilson (OL, Hattiesburg, MS) - 3 Star prospect is set to visit Ole Miss, MSU, Auburn, and LSU.

January 28th

Selvish Capers (TE, New Orleans, LA) - The 6' 5", 250 pound tight end prospect out of St. Augustine recently
committed to West Virginia.

John Jerry (OL, South Panola, MS) - The Dandy Dozen selection finished the year with 64 tackles and 12 sacks. Ole Miss, MSU, Tennessee, Memphis, and USM are in the mix

Peria Jerry (DL,. Hargrave, VI) - The 2003 Class 5A Defensive Player of the Year is committed to Ole Miss.

Jimmy Johns (Ath/QB, Brookhaven, MS) -'s #34 ranked QB prospect was the catalyst for Brookhaven's Championship run. He accumulated over 3,500 total yards and 44 TD's of offense. Has scheduled officials with Ole Miss and MSU. West Virginia and Auburn are also heavily in the mix.

Reid Neely (OL, Jackson, MS) - The 6' 6", 292 pound youngster is a member of Scout.Com's 1st Team All-Mississippi team. Committed to Ole Miss.

Derek Pegues (Ath, South Panola, MS) -'s #15 rated CB (4 star) led South Panola to its 2nd consecutive State Championship. He amassed over 2,200 yards and 31 TD's for the season. Has visited Tennessee (December) and will visit Ole Miss and LSU in January.

Kendrick Perry
(FB, Amite, LA) - The 3 Star recruit is rated by as the #48 running back in the country.

Travis Sanford (WR, South Panola, MS) -'s #2 ranked player from Mississippi (4 star) had a huge year in route to back to back state championships. Ole Miss, MSU, USM, LSU, and TN top the charts.

Archie Sims (LB, Laurel, MS) - 3 Star LB who helped West Jones to the South State Championship game. Will visit Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Memphis, Auburn and West Virginia.

As you can see with the new list, there are several new names that popped up. Most notable, the #3 overall prospect in the country, Avery Atkins!!

The names that have been scratched off of Ole Miss' visit list for the January 14 weekend are Bill Stull Earl Bennett (WR/AL), Terrell Smith (WR/AL), Tyus Andrus (W/LA), Octavious Everett (LB/GA), Deante Lamar (CB/GA), and Lucas Taylor (WR/Ath/LA)

The scratch offs for the January 21st date are Willie Rose (FB/FL), Andrew Farr (OL/AL), Paul Selmon (OL/AL), Justin Fulmer (OL/LA), Marvin Peeples (LB/FL), and Jarraud Powers (CB/AL).

the scratch offs for January 28th are Corey Leonard (QB/LA), Jason Fobbs (DB/LA), and Carlos Thomas (WR/GA). Carlos is still being recruited by Ole Miss but the date has yet to be confirmed.

By this list, this gives Ole Miss a total of 50 official visits and they will have 62 to use for this class.

We hear that Coach Wilson will possible bring in Alonzo Horton (DE/LA)), Al Jones (DE/LA), and a surprise midterm recruit who failed to qualify last year. We hear this recruit signed with Oregon last year and runs a legit 10.4 hundred!
