The following information was revealed daring our interview with Jimmy Johns:

How did it feel to be named Mr. Football for the state of Mississippi? "Man, I can not describe it, just good (laugh). You are the only player to get that title from the biggest paper in the state.."

Was this your biggest award of your young career? "Most definitely."

Have you added any schools to your official visit list? "No, it is still Alabama, MSU, and Ole Miss."

Will that likely be it for you? "Yea, I think so. I just can not see anyone jumping in front of them."

Does Coach Hopson's (Ole Miss assistant) departure hurt the Rebel's chances to land you? "I really liked Coach Hopson. I liked him a whole lot, but he had to do what he had to do. It does not hurt their chances because he already sold Ole Miss to me. He was not going to be my position coach anyway."

Who is recruiting you for Ole Miss now? "Coach Orgeron is the one that is always calling me now. But it is the dead period, so I really do not see anybody right now."

You told me the last time that we talked that you had a lot of questions to ask Coach Orgeron; were those questions answered? "Oh yea, I wanted to know what type of offense he was going to bring to Ole Miss, and he told me that he plans to bring the USC offense to Ole Miss. Two of the last three heisman trophy winners played in that offense. That would be a great opportunity for me to play in an offense like that."

Was the dead period a needed rest for you and your recruitment? "Yea, I am getting really tired of all of this."

Is it fair to say that MSU is the leader right now? "If I had to sign today, MSU would be it, but signing day is not today (laugh)."

What attracts you to MSU? "They have been with me the longest. MSU was the first staff to call and the first school to offer me. They show me a lot of loyalty. I really like their coaches, and I am comfortable with their players."

Have you been told that you are going to play in the MS/AL All-Star classic yet? "No, but I hope I get selected though. That has always been a dream of mine to play in that game. And we wont lose this year. You can write that down."

Jimmy carries a 2.8 GPA and an 18 on the ACT.
