The following information was revealed during our interview with Selvish Capers:

How did your season go this year? "Not that well. We went 3-6. We had a bad season."

What were your stats for the year? "I had 372 receiving yards and 4 TD's."

Any awards? "I was named All-District, Metro, and State."

Have you had any recent inhome visits? "Coach Frank Wilson and Ed Orgeron from Ole Miss came to the school on Thursday."

What was your first impression of Coach Orgeron? "He is a nice person. Real down to earth. He tells you how it is. He will not put on a front and act like a person he is not. That is what I like about him the most."

What were Coach Orgeron's selling points? "He is going to put their tight end at wide receiver on some sets. We will still have to still block, but we will get the ball too. The tight end will be a key asset in their offense. I like his offense."

Did you have a prior relationship with Coach Wilson before he was hired at Ole Miss? "Yea, I have known him for a while. He is a good man."

What did Coach Wilson tell you? "That I could go out there and play next year. They have a spot open. If I do what I have to do, I could play as a freshman and contribute. He is also going to watch after my grades and make sure I am doing right in class."

Did you line up a visit with Ole Miss during the meeting? "Yes sir, I am going up there on January 21st."

Are you, Alfred Jones, and Selvish Capers going to visit on the same date? "I know we are suppose to. But I think Al (Jones) had something else to do on that day. He might be going to Ole Miss on another weekend. Me and Patrick (Trahan) are going on the 21st though."

Have you lined up anymore visits? "No sir, I went to West Virginia on 12/3, Arkansas on 12/10, and USM on 12/17."

Are there anymore schools you might visit? "Yea, Memphis."

Are you going to take a visit to Memphis? "I do not know yet."

Did you commit to West Virginia? "Yes."

What attracted you to West Virginia? "I like it because it is different than New Orleans. It is not a city life. They have a friendly town where everything is centered around their university. I can focus on my football and education without any distractions. Their coaches are read down to earth too. They tell you what you have to do. They will not give you anything. You have to earn it."

Is there anybody else who is standing out? "USM."

What are their positives? "Basically the same reasons. They are closer to home though. Hattiesburg is a nice place, and they have a wonderful campus. I can play early if I go there, and I like their offense."

Are you solid with your commitment to West Virginia? "I say there is probably a 75% chance I will sign there."

What will be the factors when it comes decision time? "Just the school I felt the most relaxed. I just want to get along with their people, and they have to have a computer engineering program."

Selvish carries a 2.5 Core GPA and a 17 on the ACT.
