The following information was revealed during our interview with Reid Neely's father:

Did Ole Miss come and see Reid on Friday? "Yes, we met at JA yesterday. We really liked him a lot. We talked for a while. It was good that Coach Orgeron came to the school because he got to meet all of JA's football staff, the administrators at JA and so many students came up and spoke with Coach Orgeron. You can tell he is really good with people. He has established a lot of relationships in such a short time. You can tell that he connects with people really well. Reid likes him a lot. He was talking ninety to nothing with him. I really think Coach Orgeron and his staff are going to do really well at Ole Miss."

Were there any interesting points that Coach Orgeron made to Reid and your family? "Yes, two really. One, he said he wants them strong but really fast. He said you can bulk up too much and it slows your quickness down. He said at USC, it looks like they are real fast, but they are not. He had a lot of guys who were not your 4.5 players, but they played fast. He said the more you attack on defense and offense, the faster you look. The second thing that was really interesting to us was his redshirt policy. The last staff, well, it was almost a given you were going to redshirt, but he wants the kids to come in ready to compete. He wants them to come in with the attitude that he wants to play as a freshman. He believes it is counter productive to come in and say, well, I am going to take a redshirt anyway."

What did he say would be expected of Reid? "Well, we talked about this. He said as soon as Reid signs, he wants him to get familiar with their play book and attend as many spring practices as he can. He asked what Reid was doing for Spring Break. He had tell him that he was going on a cruise with his classmates, but now, we will have to wait and see."

Did you talk recruiting with Coaches Orgeron and Luke? "Yes, they said they saw Jimmy Johns (QB) in the morning, and they were going to see Calvin Wilson (OL) after they left our meeting. They were going to see Anthony Johnson (DB) but his mother was not able to attend the meeting, so they are going to wait until next week before they go see him. I think Reid is really excited about the class they are gathering."

When will Reid take his official visit with Ole Miss? "January 28th."

Will he take anymore visits? "No, that will be it."

What is Reid's current weight? "About 290."

Which awards did he garner this year? "He was named All-State, All-Metro, All-Conference (AAA), All-MPSA, and he was one of the 25 Most Wanted prospects in Mississippi."

Reid carries a 3.5 GPA and a 20 on the ACT.
