We called to see how his visit went.

The following information was revealed during our interview with Rogers Loche:

How did Bastrop's season go this year? "We came out 11 - 2. We lost out in the quarterfinals for the third year in a row. It was not the way I wanted to end my high school career."

What were your stats for the season? "I had 120 tackles, 10 sacks, 2 interceptions, 4 fumble recoveries, and like 88 solo tackles."

Any awards? "Yes sir, I was named 1st Team All-State, District, and N' East LA."

Did you make it in on your visit to Ole Miss? "Yes sir, I just got back today (interview was conducted on Sunday). It was great. Coach Orgeron brings so much energy. The Ole Miss players love him. They had some kids take visits who were committed to other schools that changed their mind just because of Coach Orgeron. I think he is going to build a great program."

Which players are you talking? "Alonzo Horton and Alfred Jones from New Orleans. Robert Russell tried to get Jerrell Powe to commit, but I still he is looking at LSU and Ole Miss real hard."

Who was your host for the weekend? "I had two, Marquis McBeath and Te' Biddle."

Did your parents come with you on your official visit? "Yes sir, both of them absolutely enjoyed themselves down there."

Was this your first official visit to go on? "No sir, I went to Arizona State in December, right during the coaching change. I was going to go to UCLA after the Christmas break, but when I spoke to Coach Orgeron after he was hired, I decided not to."

Did this official visit reaffirm your decision to attend Ole Miss? "Most definitely. I was always Ole Miss even during the coaching change, but now I am absolutely sure after meeting Coach Orgeron. I know he is going to be hard on us, but that is what I want. I am just proud to be a part of it."

Do you have any inhome visits scheduled this week? "Well, this is the last week they can come. Coach Camp (Ole Miss) is coming on Wednesday. After that, I am just waiting on signing day."

Talk about Coach Camp. "I love him. All of the linebackers love him. His attitude and his energy. He has a lot of it. I already love him, and I can not wait to get to play for him."

Rogers carries a 3.5 core GPA and an 18 on the ACT.
