The following information was revealed during our interview with Alex Carpenter:

What is your current height, weight, and forty time? "I am 6' 0", 178, and I run a 4.5 flat."

What are your strengths at running back? "My speed. Probably my speed and vision."

What are you working on for the next level? "I need to put on some weight for the college level."

How long have you been starting for Biggersville (1A)? "This will be my fourth year."

All at running back? "Yes sir."

What were your stats last year? "I really do not even know. I have rushed for over 1,500 yards every year I have been here though."

Any awards? "I have been our Team's MVP for 3 years now. District Offensive MVP for 2 years now, and I was our County's MVP last year."

Which schools are currently recruiting you the hardest? "Ole Miss, MSU, Tennessee, Auburn, Marshall, Rice, Notre Dame, Iowa, Illinois, Maryland, and Southern Mississippi."

Any offers? "No sir, not yet."

Who is closest to offering you? "Ole Miss."

Have you visited any of the schools you are interested in this Spring? "I went to Ole Miss' Jr Day and a practice of theirs a week ago. I am going to MSU's Jr Day on April 2nd."

What did you learn about Ole Miss during your trips? "Their facilities are really nice. They work hard in practice, real hard. They never stop. All of their coaches are really nice, and I liked the players I got to meet too."

What all do you like about MSU? "I have just grown up a being a MSU fan. They just have not shown me too much interest, but I go there next month. Hopefully they will offer me. Bur right now, Ole Miss is showing me the most interest, so I have to respect that."

Who are some other colleges that have caught your eye? "I am taking a look at Auburn and Tennessee. Auburn is kind of far off, but I will want to take a look at them."

What all about Auburn interest you? "Coach Tub. I like him a lot. He is kind of a legend around here. He has fielding great teams for about five years now. He took Ole Miss to a Top 20 program, and now he has taken Auburn to a Top 10 program. He also sends a bunch of players to the league."

What are Tennessee's positives? "Man, they are Tennessee. What else is there to say?"

What will you be looking for when it comes decision time? "I do not know. Somewhere close to home, first of all, and a place to play good ball. I want to go to bowl games and win championships. But the education part will have to come first though. I do not know what I want to major in yet, but they will have to have my major."

What is your current academic status? "I have a 2.6 GPA and I am retaking the ACT test in April."
