The following information was revealed during our interview with Kenny Holmes:

What are your strengths at defensive end? "I would have to say my speed and power."

What are you working on for the next level? "Right now, I am playing baseball. It helps me to stay in condition and it helps get my speed up."

What do you play in baseball? "I am a left handed pitcher."

Do you want an opportunity to play both sports on the next level? "Yes sir, that is pretty important to me. Mississippi Valley has already offered me in baseball, but football will come first."

How long have you been starting for Hazlehurst in football? "For two years."

All at DE? "I start both ways, at DE and TE. I have even played some QB before."

What were your stats as a junior? "I had 10 sacks, and I do not remember how many tackles I had. I think I had 300 and something receiving yards."

Did you garner any awards? "I was named All-District and Defensive Lineman of the Year."

Which schools are currently recruiting you? "LSU, Marshall, West Virginia, Ole Miss, MSU, and Georgia Tech have all been writing me."

Who is showing you the most interest? "Ole Miss sends me the most stuff. I get a lot of letters from LSU too."

Which colleges have caught your eye? "Ole Miss, LSU, and Georgia Tech."

What attracts you to Ole Miss? "Their facilities and coaching staff. It looks like a great school to go to."

Was that your first practice to attend at Ole Miss? "Yes sir. That was my first college practice I have ever been to. It is a little more complicated and harder than high school. Ole Miss' drills seem a little harder than what we do."

What are LSU's positives? "I have never had a chance to visit their campus. I just like what I am reading about them."

And Georgia Tech? "I really do not know a lot about Georgia Tech either, but I figure I could go a long ways with a degree from Georgia Tech. If I do not make it to the league, I am going into the Navy. I would have a chance to start off pretty high in the Navy with a degree from Georgia Tech."

Where do you plan to camp at this summer? "I hope to make it up to the Ole Miss camp, but I really do not plan on going to many if any this summer."

What will be some factors in your decision? "Mostly football related. I just want to play for a great program and some great coaches."

What is your current academic status? "I have an 80 average, and I take the ACT test this Saturday."
