The following information was revealed during our interview with Adrian Jenkins:

What makes you such a good running back? "My love for the game. I just love to play the game. I am strong, and I have good speed and vision. But I would have to say my main thing is my vision. I see things that others do not."

What are you working on to make yourself a more complete player? "I need to get my weight to the 190 range before I go off to college. I need to get my speed down too."

Tell us about your junior season at S' East? "Well, we started off good. We were 9 - 0 and about to finish undefeated in the regular season for the second straight season. Then, you know, I made a mistake and paid for it. I had to miss the game, and we lost. We went 15- 0 the year before, so everybody wanted to repeat. It was tough on me, because I knew I let the team down. I was not doing right, but I am now. I have learned a lot."

Do you remember your stats? "I led our Class (3A) in rushing yards. I averaged around 9 yards a carry. I was 12 yards short of a 1,000 on 125 carries. I scored like 11 times, I think."

Did you garner any awards? "I was named 1st Team All-County, and I won the Jon Kinnan Award."

Which schools are currently recruiting you? "Basically, a lot of the D1 schools like Auburn, Georgia Tech, Iowa, Florida, Louisville, and Ole Miss."

Any offers? "No sir, not yet. They just send me letters and ask me to come to their games and practices for an unofficial but no offers yet."

Been on any recent unofficials? "I went to Central Florida and a couple of their games."

Which schools are the closest to offering you a scholarship? "I would say Ole Miss or Auburn."

Who are you keeping an eye on? "Georgia Tech then probably Auburn. After those two, I do not know, probably Florida then Ole Miss."

What got you interested in Georgia Tech? "I like their offense. They seem to be a running team. They are also close to home, and it is just a good school. Another thing I like about Georgia Tech is that I will play as a freshman if I go there. I have a chance to start in my first year if I go there."

What about Auburn? "I like their running game too. They run the ball a lot. They have a good staff and team. It's just not close to home. That is the only downfall."

What attracts you to Florida? "It is a good school. I have always admired Florida as a kid. My sister went there. It is real close to home too."

What are Ole Miss' positives? "Well, it is not a school I paid too much attention to growing up, but it seems like a good school. They have a balanced attack. I would not mind going there. I would not mind playing for any of the SEC schools, really."

What will be some factors for you when it comes decision time? "I want to stay close to home, most of all. I do not want to go to a boring place. I want there to be some stuff to do. I do not want it to be real crowded on campus or in the classrooms though. I also want to go somewhere where I can get a lot of looks by the NFL. My dream is to play in the NFL one day."
