The following information was revealed during our interview with Devon Freeman:

What are your strengths at running back? "On the field, my legs, I always keep them going until the whistle blows."

What are you working on for the next level? "Right now, I am just working on my speed."

What were your stats as a junior at Niceville? "I had 1, 200 yards rushing and 13 TD's on 179 carries."

Any awards? "I was named 1st Team All-State (5A), 1st Team All - N' West Florida, and I was Niceville's Player of the Year."

What was Niceville's final record? "We went 8-3."

Which schools are recruiting you the hardest? "Auburn, Ole Miss, FSU, Miami, and Florida. Those are the main ones and Michigan. Ole Miss has already offered me."

Which schools have caught your interest? "I would say Auburn, Ole Miss, and FSU."

What attracts you to Auburn? "Auburn is my number one team because it is close to home. It is in-between Atlanta and Niceville. Atlanta is where I am originally from, so I could play close to all of my kins. When I went up there for their junior day, they showed us around. I was impressed with their facilities, coaches and players. Everyone seemed like a big family up there."

What got you interested in Ole Miss? "I never really considered them as a school I would go to until they offered me. I am scheduled to go up there on an unofficial visit to meet their coaches."

When are you going to visit Ole Miss? "I do not know yet. They are suppose to call my mother and tell her when they want us to come up there."

What about FSU? "When I visited FSU, I did not like their atmosphere because none of their coaches talked to me, but I would still consider them."

Have you taken anymore unofficial visits? "No, I went to the FSU/Clemson game in September. They showed us around. They are the only school to visit, besides my visit to Auburn for their Jr Day."

Where did you camp at last summer, and where do you plan to camp at this year? "I went to the Auburn and Hoover passing camps last year. This summer, I am going to the Ole Miss senior camp, Auburn passing camp, Hoover passing camp, and the Nike combine at FSU."

What will be the determining factors when it comes decision time? "I want to go where the coaches will be there for the players. I want to be able to get along with the coaches and players. As soon as I go on my visit, and it feels right, like their facilities, coaches, and players, that will be the place for me."
