The following information was revealed during our interview with Christopher Stewart:

What are your strengths at offensive tackle? "My ability to adjust during the game. I like to outthink my opponents. I love to hit people. I do not know, I just try to dominate. God gave me a lot of tools, and I try to use them to the best of my ability."

What are you working on for the next level? "I need to lose some weight and get in better condition. I need to work on my footwork and get a little quicker. I need to continue to get stronger and be a student of the game. I like to look at the great players in the league and study them so I can see why they are so successful."

How long have you been starting for Klein (5A)? "For three years."

Did your school keep up with your pancakes last season? "No sir, but my parents tried to. They had me in the 60 to 65 range."

Did you garner any awards? "I think I was Honorable Mention All-District, but that is it. It is kind of embarrassing. I was hurt for the first few games."

Which schools are recruiting you the hardest? "You have the Texas schools, you know Texas and Texas A&M, and Arkansas, Michigan, all of the Florida schools, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Purdue, and Vandy. Those are the main ones."

Any early offers? "All of those schools have offered me scholarships. I think I have a total of 16 now. I was actually real/real surprised. I injured my hamstring and missed the first few games. It took me 6 or so games to get back in the groove. I really did not have the season I wanted, but at the end of the season, I played the best ball of my life. It all worked out for the better."

Which colleges are you keeping an eye on? "Of course, the Texas schools (Texas and Texas A&M) are going to interest me. Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and Ole Miss because it is back home. I guess that is it."

Do you have Mississippi roots? "Yea, I am from Greenwood (MS). I was born in Cleveland (MS). I am a Delta boy. My mom played at Delta State and she played basketball for them. She played in the Olympics and is in the Mississippi Hall of Fame."

When did you move to Klein? "I moved early on, about 3rd or 4th grade."

When did you start hearing from Ole Miss? "It was not too long ago. A newspaper from around here had an article on me and my sister who throws discus at Ole Miss. They (Ole miss) have been sending me letters ever since."

What do you know about Ole Miss? "My sister loves it at Ole Miss. I have been over there a bunch to watch their track meets. I am a Mississippi boy, and she said she would not mind if I came over there with her. I do not know. It is just really nice at Ole Miss. I could definitely see myself going there."

What attracts you to Texas? "First, I have friends up there in Austin. Robert Killebrew (OLB) plays for them. He took me under his wings when I was in the 9th grade. He brought me along quickly. I have met their staff, and I like them. They are close to home. Austin is a great city and atmosphere. And each year, they are competing for the national championship."

What are A&M's positives? "I like them a lot, a whole lot. We live in a suburb in Houston, which is only 45 minutes from them. They are on the rise. They were the first school to contact me, so they have a leg up on everyone else with that. They have a great International Business school, which is what I want to major in. They have a really/really good atmosphere at A&M."

Anymore Texas schools you are interested in? "Texas Tech offered but they are too far from home."

What are Notre Dame's positives? "I grew up a Notre Dame fame even when I lived in Mississippi. The possibility to play for them, well, you have to take that very seriously. They are on the rise, and I think they are about to win really big. Another real attractive thing for me is the fact that our incoming class would be the building block for their program. I really like that."

And Oklahoma? "They always play for the national championship. They are also a good academic school. From my knowledge, they have a very good staff. That is always a plus."

What are you going to look at when you are trying to find that right fit for you? "Academics will be important. But basically, the coaching staff will be very big. What type of fan base do they have? Are they real supportive? Just where I will feel the most conformable, but the head coach will be the main thing. I want a father figure off the field, but someone who will get into my butt on the field."

Do you like an energetic or laid back staff? "I love energetic coaches because that means they are putting their heart and soul into it. Nothing against laid back coaches, but players like to see a coach with a spirit to win."
