What we do know is this:
Parish Brown will be taking an official visit to Ole Miss this weekend.
Brown is a 6' 0", 185 pound combo guard (plays PG and 2G) for Kennedy King CC that is located in Chicago, IL.
He averaged 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists for the Statesmen this past season
Parish is coached by Garland Dildy. Yes,
you guessed it, Garland is cousins with Ole Miss assistant basketball coach, Tracy
Anymore Prospects on the board?
Yes, there is another player that is on the "draft" board by the name of Marcus Nellums.
Marcus is a 6' 3", 190 pound combo guard (plays PG and 2G).
He plays for Marshall Town CC (Iowa) which lost in the Region 11 finals by two points.
Nellums averaged 12 points and 4 rebounds his freshman year and 9 points, 7 assists, and 4 rebounds his sophomore year.
He was a Team Captain, both years, for a team that is sending 6 players off of its squad to the D1 level.
Will the Rebels sign 1, 2, or no players this Spring?
Good question and one that no one knows for sure.
If all goes well with Parish this weekend, which we hear there is a good chance that it will, then Parish might be offered and a commitment may follow.
If an offer is not made, then you might see Marcus Nellums move up the pecking order, or you could possibly see a prep school candidate or two come into the picture.
Our Best Guess?
We believe you will see Parish offered this weekend, and our best guess is that Parish will accept the offer.
That will be all for the Spring Signing Period which ends on May 15th, but we believe there is a possibility you will see an additional prospect signed later on in the summer.
As we mentioned before, the players that are going to transfer from their current schools are still up in the air. If the Rebels were able to land an impact transfer, we believe they will do so, but it will be at least until this summer before all of this is ironed out.
