The following information was revealed during our interview with Jason Adjepong:

What makes you such a good defensive end? "That is hard to say. I am extremely quick. Most people tell me that I am not only quick for a defensive end, but I am quick in general. I practice with the CB's, if that tells you anything. The obvious, my quickness and overall body strength. I have good technique, and I love to get to the ball."

What are you most working on for the next level? "My quickness. I am always trying to get quicker."

What was Carteret's (2A) record last season? "We went 10-2. We lost in the State Championship (2A) game."

Who are the main schools that are recruiting you? "Most of my the schools who have offered me are the ones that are really getting after me. Virginia, Rutgers, Ole Miss, Syracuse, UConn, Iowa, Virginia Tech, Boston College, and Maryland. Those are the ones that are staying on top."

Each schools has offered you? "All but Iowa. Rutgers, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Ole Miss, Boston College, Syracuse, Michigan State, UConn, Penn State, Minnesota, Kansas, and Maryland. I think those are all of them (that have offered)."

Which colleges have caught your eye? "A lot of them. I like Rutgers, Virginia, Virginia, Tech, and Michigan State. They are all great programs. UConn has great academics. That is also very important. A lot of the schools interest me. I am just seeing what they have to offer me."

When did Ole Miss first make contact with you? "A couple of months ago. They called up and requested tape from coach. Soon after that, they offered me."

What do you know about Ole Miss? "I know Eli Manning went there. Coach Orgeron came from USC and won back to back national championships. There is something to be said for that. I know he is a DL coach. I spoke to him on the phone. He is a real excited coach. That is real attractive to have a head coach that is defensive oriented. That is real attractive to me."

Are you going to take any unofficial visits this year? "Yes, I have got to see this summer. I have to go over my football schedule. I want to try to check out the Southern schools this summer. I will see some of the schools that are closer to home like Boston College, Syracuse, Virginia, and Virginia Tech. I will take a weekend trip."

Any football camps on the horizon? "No sir. I do not plan to attend any camps this summer."

Why no camps? "I think those are individualized. We lost last year in the State Championship game. I am not taking a day off from my team so we can get to our goals."

What will you be looking for when it comes decision time? "Mainly my academics as well as my athletic opportunities. I want to go somewhere where I can graduate first. Athletic wise, I want to go to a program that is going in the right direction and is working towards winning a national championship."
