Quintin Banks is up to 10 offers

Quinton Banks (S/WR, Warren Robins, GA) - Houston County HS S/WR Quintin Banks has seen his stock skyrocket in just the past few weeks. He has currently racked up some offers from some big-time schools.

Quintin Banks had a great season last year as he helped lead Houston County HS to an 8-4 record and 2nd round exit in the Georgia State Playoffs. Quintin racked up 79 tackles with 52 of those being solo, while also collecting 1 interception and 1 fumble recovery.

Banks has an attitude that ony college coach would like to have on his team. "I see myself as a player who plays with all heart," he said. "I go all out and try to do my best."

Quintin has currently amounted a total of ten offers. "I have been offered by Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Eastern Kentucky, Kentucky, Auburn, Purdue, and Duke." Right now I plan on taking official visits to Ole Miss, Georgia, Purdue, and Auburn."

The Georgia standout is currently being recruited by Ole Miss Special Teams/Defensive Backs Coach Chris Rippon. "Coach Rippon and Coach Orgeron have shown a lot of interest in me. Both of them have layed out their plans for the program to me and have shown me how well I'd fit in. They are both great guys."

What does Banks think of Ole Miss? "Ole Miss is a program with good academics and a good winning tradition. That combination is what I'm looking for in a school. That's why I'm taking a hard look at Ole Miss."

Banks hasn't been on any unofficial visits this spring, but did go to an Auburn game last season. "Me and my coach went over to Auburn for one of their games," he said. "We got there late so I didn't have a chance to see much of the campus, but overall it went well."

Will distance play a factor in Banks' decision? "Distance does not bother me," he said. "I just want to find a school that's a perfect fit for me."

Quintin already has plans for one camp this summer. "I'm going to be camping at Georgia," he said. "I'm not sure where else at this point."

What is the timetable for his decision? "I don't really have a set date," he said. "I want to take all of my official visits and then sit down and determine what school is a perfect fit for me."

Quintin garnered a few prestigous awards last season. "I was named to the All-Middle Georgia Team and I was Second Team All-State."

As he enters his senior season it'll be interesting to see how much his recruitment picks up. He has received eight offers in just the past two weeks, and it seems that Ole Miss is just one of the many schools that will by vying for his signature come February.

Quintin is on his way to becoming fully academically qualified as he carries a 3.4 GPA and will receive his SAT score soon.
