3 Day Camp Notes

Day two coverage.

The 3 Day Camp is mostly for the underclassmen to learn the proper fundamentals of the game of football.

Two rising juniors who stood out to us were:

Luther Jackson
Luther Davis (DE, West Monroe, LA) - Luther plays for traditionally rich West Monroe. He has been starting for the Rebels since 9th grade, which speaks volumes about his game. As a sophomore, Davis had 66 tackles, 13 sacks, 8 for losses, and 8 batted balls.

Davis measured in at 6' 4", 240 and ran a 4.8 forty. He has all of the tools to become a big time linemen.

D. Sharp
"D" Sharp (TE, Collierville, TN) - We never could gather his first name, but Sharp plays for Collierville and is a rising senior. He had good footwork for a man his size, looked to be around 6' 5", 260 from the naked eye.

Rising Senior Camp Tidbits

Nick Stephens
Nick Stephens (QB, Flowers Mound, TX) - The 6' 3", 195 pound signal caller will arrive in Oxford last night. Nick drove down with his parents and came more on an unofficial visit than anything else. He participated at the camp during the morning session and left back home. Our sources tell us that they were impressed with his arm and frame.

Garrett Utt
Garrett Utt (QB, Atlanta, GA) - The 6' 4", 197 signal caller from Lovett (GA) had a solid showing yesterday and left back to Georgia this afternoon.

Andy Nations
Andy Nations (OL/DL, Pascagoula, MS) - The massive linemen for Pascagoula (6' 6", 330) has a great frame and pretty good footwork. Andy has actually started at noseguard for Pascagoula throughout his career, but he informed us that he is being moved to offensive tackle for his senior season. Tackle looks to be his natural position. Andy will stay for the remainder of the camp.

Richard Murphy
Richard Murphy (RB, Rayville, LA) - Richard Murphy, who ran for 2,147 yards and 24 touchdowns as a junior went back to Rayville this morning.

Has been offered by LSU, Florida, Auburn, USM, ULM, and Texas A&M.
