Ole Miss holds its Passing Camp on June 9th

The Passing Camp at Ole Miss will start tomorrow morning. To view some of the teams that are expected to participate, click here.

Like colleges, high schools are limited to a certain number of days they are allowed to practice. The passing camps that are held on the college campus' throughout the country, gives the high school teams a "free" day to practice.

The skilled players for each high school will play in a 7 on 7 tournament on Ole Miss' practice fields.

The linemen for the high schools will work separately on a field together. They will be taught the proper techniques by some of the country's finest college and high school coaches.

In the meantime, the Ole Miss staff will get a close look at the personnel with each team in attendance. It is a win/win situation for all parties involved.

Which teams are expected to play?

Most of the high schools have yet to register, as registration takes place tomorrow morning from 8:00 to 9:00 am.

We have spoken to a few players who have informed us that their team will participate.

They are Terry Levy from out of Kosciusko, Kendrick Lewis for O. Perry Walker, Michael Park plays for MUS (TN), Chad Jones stars at St. Augustine, and James Patterson for Noxubee County. All of these high schools are expected to attend

Some interesting notes on these players.

Michael Park is the younger brother of Ole Miss signee, Rob Park. In fact, Michael is taking over the QB duties from big brother, Rob. Michael will be a rising sophomore.

Chad Jones is the little brother of Al Jones (LSU signee). Chad is a rising junior and is listed as 6' 3", 210. He is widely considered as one of the South's Top Prospects

South Panola, Meridian, Tupelo, Germantown, Oxford, Bay Springs, and Greenville are some more programs who have been regulars in the years past at the Ole Miss passing camp. We have yet to confirm if any of these high schools are going to attend.

We will have a report tomorrow to inform you on which high schools did and did not attend.
