The results have been better than hoped, as Justin has picked up scholarship offers from Alabama, Ole Miss, and Memphis after attending their camps. LSU and Auburn have also offered.
Justin has the
natural instincts to see the field better than 99% of the people. For example,
during Ole Miss' 7 on 7 drills at their senior camp, Woodall picked off 6 passes
during the 10 possessions he competed in. And by the way, Woodall has picked off
over 30 passes during the last two seasons.
The following information
was revealed during our interview with Justin Woodall:
have you attended and where do you go from here? "I have been to the Scout
(Starkville) combine, and as far as colleges, I have been to Ole Miss, Alabama,
and Memphis. I do not think I will be attending anymore camps. I think I am done."
was different about the Ole Miss camp? "Their coaches were more into it than
at Alabama. At Ole Miss, there were a lot more better players to compete against
What was different about Alabama? "We did not do too much
there. We did not do what we did at Ole Miss. The coaches did not try to teach
us, they just wanted to see what we could do one on one. It was more of an evaluation,
and Ole Miss was more about teaching you."
How was Memphis' camp different?
"It was about the same as Alabama. They were just basically evaluating us,
not much teaching going on."
After you attended all of these combines
and camps; which position do you think you are best suited for? "Free safety.
I can see the field a lot better. That is pretty much my natural position."
colleges have now offered you a scholarship? "Ole Miss gave me theirs on
paper. Mississippi State, Alabama, LSU, Memphis, and Alabama have also offered
Who is showing you the most interest? "Ole Miss, Alabama,
Are you talking on the phone to anymore schools besides
the ones you listed? "Tennessee has called. They said wanted to offer me,
but they had to get my film in first."
Which schools are now at the
top of your list? "I do not know yet. I would probably say Alabama and Ole
Miss, but I am not sure yet."
What were your stats from your baseball
season? "I know I hit .430, and that is about it. I do not have my pitching
