Ole Miss welcomes six football prospects to campus

Justin Woodall (DB, Oxford, MS) - The Rebels brought in six key prospects on Monday for unofficial visits.

The players who came in were Justin Woodall (S/MS), Woodall's teammate Jamie Phillips (FB/MS), Michael Herrick (QB/CA), Franklin Mitchem (S/TX) and Ole Miss commitments Sam Johnson (LB/MO) and Shay Hodge (WR/MS).

Woodall is one of the more talented athletes in the South and has already been offered by Ole Miss, Alabama, LSU, Mississippi State, and Memphis. Tennessee has also begun to heat up their recruitment with the returning interception leader from Mississippi.

The following information was revealed during our interview with Justin Woodall

Have you taken any recent unofficial visits? "I went by Ole Miss today to meet with their coaches."

What was discussed? "We were just talking about how I did at their camp. We watched some film on what I did out there and just talked about what I did right and did not do right. They said I had a good chance to start as a freshman if I went there."

Was that what caught your ear the most? "Yea, I really liked hearing that."

Did you see anymore prospects while you were on your visit? "Jamie Phillips came with me. Shay Hodge was there, and then he left to their basketball camp. I saw some dude from Missouri(Sam Johnson), and that was about it."

Do you have anymore future unofficial visits on tap? "Not this summer."

Any changes in your pecking order? "I talked to Tennessee today. He left his number, and I called Coach Caldwell. I was suppose to go to their camp, but I did not get a chance to go."

Anybody else? "Alabama sent me their scholarship offer on paper this morning. That is about it."

Was this the first time you have had contact with Tennessee by way of phone? "They called me in the past. I talked to them a couple of times."

What is Tennessee telling you? "They want me to come up there for a visit."

Has Tennessee jumped into the picture? "I do not know. It will probably be a hard decision."

What does your pecking order now look like? "Ole Miss, Alabama, LSU, and Auburn."
