Headed to Hargrave in August

Jerrell Powe (DT, Waynesboro, MS) - Coach Orgeron made his first national impact as a head coach at Ole Miss when he received a commitment from Army All-American Jerrell Powe.

Powe was the number one defensive tackle in the country by several recruiting experts.

Jerrell came up a little short on his grades and has decided to enroll at Hargrave.

"I am going to Hargrave next semester. I was a little short (on my grades) but I worked real hard. All of this taught me a lot. I have studied and studied and studied this past year. I came up a little short, but that is OK, I can go to Hargrave and be ready by the second semester. I will be at Ole Miss by January, ready to start practice in the Spring," commented Jerrell Powe.

Is Powe happy with his decision?

"Yea, I am happy about this decision. I think I need the experience due to the talent I am going to be facing when I enter the SEC," explained Jerrell Powe. "Hargrave will have a lot of great players for me to go up against everyday. This can only make me better," commented Jerrell.

Could Jerrell be living with Ole Miss signee, John Jerry?

"I am living with John Jerry. John is an incredible man and friend. I can not wait to get on the field with him. We will be a heck of a duo at Hargrave and Ole Miss. There will not be too many people pushing us around (laugh)."
