The following information was revealed during our interview with Steven Wesley:

What are your strengths at end? "I think I am really blessed with great quickness off of the ball."

What most do you need to work on? "My upper body strength. I need to get a lot stronger. My techniques and staying low coming off of the ball could always improve too."

What were your stats as a junior? "I had 60 tackles and 8 sacks. At tight end, I had 7 catches for 129 yards and 1 TD."

Any awards? "I was named 1st Team All-County (Polk County) and 1st Team All-Division. I was also our Team's Defensive MVP."

Which colleges are you hearing from the most? "The most; Florida, Alabama, Ole Miss, Ohio State. There are a lot of them and LSU."

Have you narrowed the field down? "I am taking five official visits and they are to Ohio State (9/10), Ole Miss (10/15), Alabama (11/12), Maryland (12/2), and Florida (1/28). Those are pretty much my Top 5."

How did you become interested in Ole Miss? "Coach Orgeron started calling me back in the Spring. He seems like a pretty cool dude. He coached Warren Sapp and a lot of guys who went to the league. I would not mind playing for someone who sends so many people to the league. That is my goal, to get to the league."

What about Florida? "Coach Strong is recruiting me. He is a pretty cool dude. I went to their camp, and Coach Meyers was pretty straight forward. He does not promise anything to you. I like that."

What are Alabama's positives? "Coach Ball recruits me. Like Coach Strong, he is a cool dude. If I came in, I have a good chance to start as a true freshman. That would be a great opportunity for me to start as a true freshmen for an SEC program. It does not get any better than that. And Coach Shula, like Coach Meyers, he does not beat around the bush. He tells it like it is."

What do you like about Ohio State? "Coach Beck has been recruiting me. He is fun to talk to. And I like their style of play. I know they are real far from home, but Coach Beck sells that school so good. He just makes you interested in Ohio State."

What about Maryland? "Coach Banks recruits me. He is another real cool coach. I enjoy talking to him. When ever I see his name on caller ID, I get excited. They want me to play some DE and LB, like Shawn Marryman. They are recruiting me more as an athlete than just a position. I like that. That is what I like about Maryland. They see me as a pure athlete."

What will you be looking for while you are on your visits? "I want to get a long with the coaches, first of all. I want to see if I fit in with their players. I will look at the community environment. The atmosphere on campus. And just if I am comfortable or not."
