Rebels pick up their 14th public commitment

Cassius Vaughan (DB, Memphis, TN0 - The day after the Rebels beat the Tigers, the Memphis East (TN) product committed to the University of Mississippi.

"I went to the Ole Miss and Memphis game on Monday, and I liked how they played defense. I think I can bring a lot to the table for Ole Miss," commented Cassius Vaughan.

Who came in second place?

That is really hard for me to say. I liked both Arkansas and Memphis, and I had some interest in Tennessee too. I had offers from all of them, except for Tennessee, but they were really showing me a lot of interest too. In end the end, I went where I felt the most comfortable."

The Ole Miss coaching staff also made a huge impact for Cassius.

"I have known Coach Hugh Freeze since he was at Briarcrest and Coach Rippon has been showing me a lot of interest. I just feel more comfortable with Ole Miss' staff."

The 6' 1", 185 pounder has rushed for over 3,000 yards the past two seasons for traditionally rich, Memphis East, but he is expected to play one of the defensive back slots at Ole Miss. Vaughan had 80 tackles and 5 int's at the corner position for East as a junior.

"They tell me that I will probably play one of the DB slots. I really do not care where they put me, I just want to be on the field."

Cassius marks Ole Miss' 14th commitment and the third player from the City of Memphis to give their verbal commitment to the Rebels.
