The following information was revealed during our interview with David Kindred :

Which position are you being recruited to play on the next level? "Mainly just the infield."

What are your strengths on the field? "Definitely my hitting ability. I hit for average. I am a gap to gap hitter with occasional power. And definitely my arm strength."

What are you working on to make yourself a better player? "I am staying in the weight room. I am trying to gain some weight, and I am working on my speed. I need to improve my footwork. This will help me with ground balls and everything else defensively."

How did American Christian Aca fare last season? "We won State. We went 35-5. We played a lot of high classification teams. We only played 1A teams in the playoffs. We tried to focus on the 4A and 5A teams.."

What were your stats for the season? "I batted .470 with 12 Hr's and 34 RBI's."

Any awards? "I was named 1st Team All-State at shortstop. I was also Athlete of the Week for our District."

What did you bat as a sophomore? "I batted .465 with 6 Hr's and I am not sure about my RBI's."

Awards? "I made Honorable Mention All-State."

Which AAU team do you play for? "We are just called the Tuscaloosa Team. We finished 3rd in the National AAU tournament that was held in Orlando (FL).

We hear you have committed to Ole Miss? "Yes sir."

Why did you choose Ole Miss? "Because of their great coaches. Coaches Bianco, McDonnell, and Lake really made me feel wanted. Obviously, their program is flourishing. When I went in on my official visit last weekend, I just loved their campus. It feels like home. I am looking forward to getting started at Ole Miss next year."

Who recruited you for Ole Miss? "Coach McDonnell started recruiting me when I came to their Christmas camp last year. They started talking to me seriously during the early Spring. Coach Lake started recruiting me from there. But I talked with Coach Bianco a bunch too. All three of them really recruited me. They are all great coaches."

Who came in second place for your services? "Alabama and Auburn. I had it down to those three before I choose Ole Miss."

We hear Chris Smelley (QB) is a good friend of yours? "Yea, you could say that (laugh). We talk about where he is going to go, but he just does not know yet. I feel for him. It is going to be a hard decision. I am going to support him where ever he goes."

Your head baseball coach is Chris' father? "Yes sir, he has been coaching me for years now."

What is your current academic status? "I have a 4.03 GPA and a 22 on the ACT."
