North Shore has only lost one game in the past two and half years of play. They are currently 3-0 and ranked #4 in the state of Texas. North Shore also won the 2003 Class 5A State Championship.

The following information was revealed during our interview with Robert Ramirez:

Which position do you currently play? "Offensive tackle."

Which position did Ole Miss recruit you to play? "Center."

What are your strengths on the field? "I think my concentration over enthusiasm. I am not real fired up out there. I am real calm and always thinking."

What are your physical strengths? "My aggressiveness. My agility really. If I had to say one thing, it would be my agility."

What most do you need to work on? "My strength and technique. I am getting better and better at it."

How long have you been starting for North Shore? "For two years."

What was your team's record during that time frame? "We won the 5A Championship my sophomore year. We went 15-0. Last year, we went 11-1.."

Did you receive any awards last year? "I made 1st Team All-State (Coaches) and All-District. At school, I won Most Improved for our team."

Where do you stand in your recruitment process? "I committed to Ole Miss today."

Why Ole Miss? "It was just an opportunity I could not pass up. The chance to play in the SEC. And besides, I love their staff. Coach DeLeone is my main reason. He has been coaching a long/long time. If anything, it had to be him. He has known my coach for ever. Coach DeLeone was the deciding factor."

Who came in second place? "I liked Missouri next."

Who else was actively recruiting you? "Oklahoma State, San Diego State, and Central Florida."

Any offers? "No sir, not yet, just Ole Miss."

Have you set up your official visit with Ole Miss? "Not yet, but I know it will be after the season. We are going to talk about that this week."

Have you informed the other staffs of your decision? "No sir, not yet."

Will you still take your allowed 5 official visits? "I thought about taking all of my official visits, but I am sticking with Ole Miss right now. If I had to take one, it would be with Missouri. I might, I just do not know yet."

Are you 100% solid with your decision? "Yes sir, verbally, I am still trying to take in the recruiting process, but I am sticking with Ole Miss."

Where do you stand, academically? "I do not know. I am going to get my GPA and SAT straight this week. I make good grades though."
