The following information was revealed during our interview with Alex Dekle:

How is your season coming around? "It is going pretty good. We are 3 - 0 and ranked 2nd in state."

What were your stats from the first three games? "I have 11 tackles and 4.5 sacks. They usually take me out at half because we are up by so much. They could be better, but I am not complaining."

What improvements have you seen in your game since last year? "I can play better. I have not really played to my full potential because I have not played a full game yet."

What are your strengths on the field? "My speed and techniques."

Which position do you currently play? "Noseguard."

What improvements do you need to make? "I need to come off of the ball quicker, and use my hands better, and just getting after it."

Received any phone calls this month? "I only got one call and that was from Coach Croom at MSU."

Which colleges have put an offer on the table for you? "Ohio State, Tennessee, MSU, Ole Miss, and Central Florida."

Which schools stands out the most? "Ohio State."

What do you like about Ohio State? "Their academic programs and their coaching staff."

Who would be next in line? "Mississippi State."

What are MSU's positives? "I do not know much about them, but that is who is coming after me the hardest. Them and Ohio State."

After MSU? "Ole Miss, they are pretty strong, but it would be very hard for me to adjust because of the bad weather they have around there. I think they were real close to the hurricane. My daddy is a truck driver and he told me it was 50 something miles from where it hit. I have had too many bad experiences with bad weather. Our roof got ripped off our house once by a tornado."

What about Tennessee? "They are cool. They have a real strong program, and they send a lot of players to the league. They were actually the first school to offer me."

Did you attend any camps this summer? "I went to the Nike and Adidas camps, but that was basically it."
