Ole Miss football Commitment Stats for September 16th
OL Josh Davis - Tylertown's season has been delayed due to Hurricane Katrina. They will resume their season on Friday.
RB Marcus Green - We have learned that Marcus is sitting out of football this semester. He is currently finishing up his needed requirements in Bastrop (LA). Our sources expect Marcus to be ready by Spring camp. Marcus scored over 100 TD's during his high school career.
QB Michael Herrick - Michael was 18 - 29 for 278 yards and 1 TD in last Friday's win. In the season opener, Herrick led his team to victory and was 21-37 for 361 yards and 1 TD.
WR Shay Hodge - Shay has over 350 receiving yards and 5 TD's during the first three games of action..
LB Brandon Jackson - Brandon picked off a pass and ran it back for the winning touchdown (21-20) with less than 5 minutes remaining. Jackson is currently averaging over 10 tackles a game.
OL/DL John Jerry - John has started at right tackle for Hargrave during the first three games. This Sunday, Hargrave defeated Averett (NC) 51-0. Jerry had 5 pancake blocks during the first half of the game. He now has 18 pancakes for the season. Hargrave is currently 2-1 and they face Army's JV team this Sunday.
LB Sam Johnson - Sam had 9 tackles and 103 yards rushing (2 TD's) in their team's victory over Catedrado Central (41-0) on Friday. Euraka has yet to give up a point on the young season and they now stand at 3 - 0. Sam has 403 rushing yards and 6 TD's at tailback. On the defensive side of the ball, Sam has 32 tackles and 7 sacks.
WR Terry Levy - Terry focused on the defensive side of the ball this past Friday for Kosciusko. In their winning effort over Houston (26-21), Levy had 9 tackles for the game. The prior two games saw Levy catch 6 passes for 145 yards and 2 TD's. He also has 4 carries for 50 yards and 1 TD.
WR Kendrick Lewis - Kendrick's team (Gainesville, GA) was off this past Friday. The Red Elephants have a huge showdown against Flowery Branch this Friday. This is a game that pits two undefeated teams in Region 6(3A) play. In Lewis' only game of action this season, he caught 6 passes for 58 yards.
OL Aubrey McPhadden - Aubrey is sitting out of football this Fall and will have 3 1/2 years to play 3 for the Rebels.
DL Jerrell Powe - Jerrell continues to dominate at the line of scrimmage for the Hargrave Tigers. Against Averett this past Sunday, Jerrell had 7 tackles and 2 sacks. This brings his season total to 23 tackles and 5 sacks in three games of action.
DL/OL Korey Raymond - Due to Hurricane Katrina, East MS CC's season has yet to start. They will resume their season this Thursday.
OC Robert Ramirez - We were not able to collect Robert's stats from this past Friday.
QB Nick Stephens - Nick Stephens was 16-32 for 208 yards and 2 TD's last Friday. This brings his season total to 915 passing yards and 10 TD's in three games of action.
CB Cassius Vaughan - Cassius was moved from quarterback to running back this past Friday. But he is now spending the majority of his time at cornerback, which is the position Ole Miss projects him to play on the next level. In East's win over Craigmont (34-6), Vaughan had 2 TD's and a 65 yard punt return.
Ath LaDerrick Vaughn - LaDerrick continued his fast start as Manassas defeated Milington. In the first half alone, LaDerrick had 145 rushing yards. He now has 680 rushing yards and 7 TD's in five games of action.
