The following information was revealed during our interview with Marvin Arnold:
Which position do you currently play and where do you project on the next level? "I play left tackle here, and I am not sure where I will play next season. It could be anywhere on the offensive line. I just know I will be on the line somewhere."
What are your strengths on the line? "I am pretty quick for my size. I am a very good pass blocker, and I pull very well. I am just an all around good lineman."
What do you need to work on? "I just need to get stronger."
Which high school did you attend? "Carson High."
How long did you start for Carson? "For three years."
Any awards your senior season? "I made 1st Team all-league; All-Daily Breeze and 2nd Team All-City."
Why did you go the juco route? "Because I was short on my grades."
How did your freshman season go at El Camino CC go? "We went 8-3. We do not keep up with our pancakes or anything, so I do not have any stats, but I started all eleven games at left tackle."
How is this year going? "We are 5-0 going into a bye week. I have been playing really well."
Which colleges are actively contacting you by phone? "Ole Miss, Kentucky, Kansas State, Reno, and ULL."
Any offers? "Only from Kentucky."
Have you set up any official visits? "I am going to Ole Miss this weekend. That is the only one I have set up so far."
How did you become interested in Ole Miss? "I know the SEC is a real good conference, and Ole Miss usually has a real good team. I knew about Coach Orgeron when he was at USC. I think it would be cool to play for him."
What will you be looking at while you are on your visit to Ole Miss? "Just the size of the school and their overall campus atmosphere."
Are you looking for a large or small school? "Just medium. Not too small and not too big."
Who else are you looking to take an official visit? "Probably Oregon and Kentucky."
When do you expect to graduate? "Hopefully this December. If I pass all of my classes this semester, I will graduate in December."
