The following information was revealed during our interview with Mark Snyder:

Tell us about how Hurricane Katrina effected your life? "Well, when we had to leave it was depressing, but I had some family in Monroe. My school was flooded and Brother Martin was flooded. I knew West Monroe had a great coaching staff and facilities. It was a 5A school, and I wanted to play for a big time program. It just seemed like a good fit fore me."

Which position are you currently playing? "Right offensive tackle."

You played TE at Brother Martin? "I did for a while, but they moved me to tackle before I left because we needed some help there. So really, the adjustment has not been bad at all."

Which position are you bring recruited to play on the next level? "Actually, it is for both (TE and OT). I am still getting recruited at TE, but mainly RT."

Are you keeping up with your pancakes this season? "I am averaging around 7 a game."

What are your strengths on the field? "I think I bring a lot to the table. I am a really good pass blocker, and I can run block too. Overall, I think I am a real good player. Playing tight end, you have to be a whole lot quicker. It was an easy transition to tackle."

What are you working on? "Mainly my strength and techniques. I am trying to perfect what an OL does. I am adjusting to the team and learning the new plays at the same time."

Which colleges are keeping in weekly phone contact with you? "I have been offered by Arkansas, Mississippi State, ULL, and La Tech. I am talking to Ole Miss pretty seriously. I talked to them tonight, and I got a chance to talk to all of their coaches. They want some film from me. My high school coach said a lot of the (college) scouts do not know where I am at right now. Ole Miss knew where I was because one of my coaches at West Monroe use to coach one of the Ole Miss coaches."

Have you begun to set up your official visits? "Not yet, I do not know which schools I want to visit yet. Ole Miss has told me they wanted to look at some more film and they were going to get back with me with a date. Some more schools offered me to take an official visit, but I am not sure where I want to visit, and you only get five, so I need to make sure that is where I want to go."

Which colleges have caught your eye up to this point? "Ole Miss would definitely be one. USM, LSU, Auburn, lets see, Arkansas, Miami, Tulane, and Mississippi State."
