Cassius Vaughan talks about his commitment

Cassius Vaughan (DB, Memphis, TN) - Cassius was recently rated as's #20 cornerback in the South.

Vaughan committed to Ole Miss after contaplating offers from the Rebs, Tide, and the Razorbacks.

We called to get an update on Cassius' season and commitment status.

The following information was revealed during our interview with Cassius Vaughan:

How is your seasong coming around? "Well, I did not feel like I had a good regular season, but since it is playoff time, I feel like I have to step it up more than ever."

What is East's record? "We are 10-1. We won our 1st round Friday against Harding County (24-10)."

What were your stats for the game? "I had 108 yards rushing and 1 TD on 6 carries. I had a 32 yard receiving TD, and I also had an interception."

That brings your season stats to? "I really do not even know. I couldn't begin to tell you right now."

Have you scheduled your official visit with Ole Miss? "Yes sir, I am going on December 2nd."

Anymore on tap? "If I can, I will be taking some more visits, but I think I am going to Ole Miss."

The last time you spoke, you stated that while you are committed to Ole Miss, you still were not closing all doors; have the doors been closed or are they still open? "I feel a lot more sure of my decision now. I am not just going to slam the door, but yea, I am solid. The door is pretty much shut."

Talk about your relationship with Duke Calhoun (WR out of Memphis)? "That's my boy, Duke. Yea, we cool."

Are you going to attend any college games this weekend? "Yea, I am going down to Oxford with Duke. We are just going down there for the day with my dad."

How are your classes going? "They are coming pretty good. I have a 2.7 Core GPA, and I took the ACT test for the first time this past month. I have not gotten in my score, but it should be coming in pretty soon."
