4 Star DT schedules official with Ole Miss

Leslie Stirrup (DT, Tampa, FL) - Ole Miss has lined up an official visit with scout.com's #29 nationally ranked defensive tackle. The Rebels also brought in Leslie's teammate in December, OL Don Mosely.

The following information was revealed during our interview with Leslie Stirrups:

How did your season go? "We did good. We had a lot of things we did not accomplish, but I feel like I had a pretty good season. We went 10-1."

What were your stats for the year? "I had 67 tackles, 4 sacks, and 6 tackles for losses."

What most did you improve on this year? "Well, tackling really. I had more tackles this year because I was double teamed more last year."

Any awards started to come out in Florida? "Not yet, but I am playing in the CA/FL All-Star game on December 31st."

Have you had any inhome visits within the past week? "Ole Miss brought their head coach by."

What did Coach Orgeron have to say? "He talked to my mom because I was at practice. But, he came to my school, and told me how bad he wanted me. He said I had a chance to play early if I went there. They graduated both of their starting defensive tackles this year. The opportunity is there for me."

Who else has been by your house? "No other colleges have come by."

Which schools are you going to take an official visit with? "I am going to visit Ole Miss on January 13th, Miami, Florida State, and probably Florida. I have not set the dates with the rest of those schools, but they will be sometime in January."

Which colleges are now at the top of your list? "Ole Miss, Florida, FSU, and Miami."

Has each school offered you a scholarship? "They have been offered me."

Reports came out that you committed to South Florida; are they true? "Well, that was a little earlier. You never know what happens on signing day. I might sign somewhere else."

What attracts you to Ole Miss? "The coaches are real nice. I do not really know too much about them, but I know they have a good staff, and they are going to help me with my academics and what ever I need to improve on."

How are your academics? "I have a 2.2 GPA/800 SAT."

What do you need on your SAT to qualify? "An 850."

What are Miami's positives? "The play with fire on defense. They let their DL loose, and that is what I like to do."

FSU? "They got that mean streak in their DL. They like to get after it. If I play for them. I will fit right in."

How about Florida? "I like their colors and coaches too. Their DL gets after it too. Where ever I go I will be in a good program. All of these programs are about the same."

And South Florida? "They are a young program. They have some young ones to develop. I figure I am young too. And if I go there, we all could grow together."

How committed are you to South Florida? "About 50%."
