The one that got away

OT Clarence Bailey signed with South Carolina just minutes ago.

Clarence had stated as late as 10:00 pm last night that he was going to sign with Ole Miss, but told us this morning, that he had changed his mind.

It looks like location and the fact that Ole Miss had already committed three other offensive tackles were the sticking points.

Signing Day Tidbits

*Ath Marcus Green will enroll at Ole Miss in January but will wait until February to sign, per NCAA rules regarding resignees.

Is this it?

*Remember Ole Miss is bringing in the 6' 4", 300 pound DT prospect, Hayward Howard, on January 6th.

Hayward attended Carver High (New Orleans) iand was a late qualifier. He totaled 96 tackles for Eastern Arizona CC in just 5 games this year.

Howard has already visited Auburn and could possible visit Oregon State and Tennessee after his official to Ole Miss.

If any new names come to surface, we will let you know.

Numbers

Ole Miss signed three players today that will count back towards last year's number. Only one scholarship will be taken away from February's class, so this leaves them 24 scholarships..
