Ole Miss still on Tamarcus Porter?
The following information was revealed during our interview with Tamarcus Porter:
How did your season go? "We made it to the Championship game (2B) and lost by 7 to Trinity Catholic. We finished 10-2."
Which positions did you play? "I played WR, CB, and FS."
What were your stats for the year? "I had 45 catches for 850 receiving yards and 15 TD's. On defense, I had 65 tackles, 5 interceptions, 4 forced fumbles, and 1 defensive touchdown."
What most did you improve on this year? "Mostly my receiving game and going out there and playing hard every down. My blocking improved a lot too, and I ran more precise routes."
Have you taken any official visits? "I have been on two. I went to Pittsburgh (9/3) and Boston College (9/16)."
Where else are you looking to visit? "It looks like Wake Forest, Clemson, Ohio State, Iowa or Virginia. I am not sure which one out of those."
When was the last time Ole Miss was in contact with you? "They quit calling me in November."
Any inhome visits? "Virginia, Ohio State, Wake Forest, Pittsburgh, Maryland, and Wisconsin."
Who is coming after you the hardest? "Right now, I would probably say Pittsburgh. Wake Forest too."
What will you be looking at when it comes decision time? "I just want to see how comfortable I am while I am on my visits. How the coaches and players interact with each other. I want to be on a team with good team chemistry. Do the players all hang out or not?"
Porter carries a 3.0 GPA and an 18 on the ACT.
