Derrick Davis commits to Ole Miss

Derrick Davis (RB, Meridian, MS) - Scout.com's #48 nationally running back made it final today when he picked the Ole Miss Rebels over the Auburn Tigers.

"Yea, I committed to Coach Wilson and Coach Orgeron tonight," commented the excited Derrick Davis. "I was excited. They were excited. It was just a special moment for me."

What made Derrick decide on Ole Miss?

"They just stayed on me the hardest. They just made me feel the most wanted."

Was there anything else that stood out about Ole Miss?

"I just wanted a chance to represent Mississippi. I think Ole Miss is an up and coming program, and I am just excited to be a part of it."

Davis has been very adamant that he was going to go where ever his teammate, Cordera Eason, went. Does Derrick still feel like they will stay together?

"I think there is a good chance you will see that happen."

Derrick and Cordera were scheduled to visit Ole Miss this weekend. Are the two still set to visit?

"Yes sir, both of us are coming up on Friday."

Will Derrick take anymore official visits?

"No sir, I am going up to Ole Miss and that will be it. I am 100% sure of my decision."

Derrick carries a 3.1 GPA / 18 ACT.
