Oxford All-State QB Matthew Malouf took his official visit to Ole Miss over the weekend, but left campus still undecided about his football future.
"He had a good visit, but nothing was decided," said Bill Malouf, Matthew's Dad and former Rebel player. "Matthew met with Offensive Coordinator Dan Werner with JUCO QB Brent Schaeffer, who was also visiting this weekend, and they went over the offense together. Everything went OK, but I still don't know what Matthew is going to do."
Malouf has been Memphis' number one quarterback target since the start of recruiting, receiving an offer from them last summer. Since then, they have intensified their recruitment of the 6-2, 212-pounder with 4.5 speed.
Prior to offering Malouf, Ole Miss got commitments from Texas QB Nick Stephens and California QB Michael Herrick, then signed JUCO QB Bruce Hall and are pursuing Schaeffer and Malouf.
"Memphis has done an excellent job of showing him where he is their number one guy and how they want to build the team around him. That's hard to ignore," Bill stated.
Memphis and Ole Miss are wanting to continue to talk with Matthew this week.
