The following information was revealed during our interview with Derrick Davis:

How did your visit to Ole Miss go? "It went good. I really enjoyed it up there. I am just ready to represent Ole Miss."

What were your looking for before you came on your visit? "I wanted to see how their people acted around the school."

What did you find out? "They acted real good. Everybody knows each other."

Did your parents come with you? "Yes sir, they did. They had a lot of fun. They like it a lot up there."

Was the visit better/worse/or about what you were expecting? "It was better, just hanging out with the players made it better."

What stood out the most during your trip? "The players. I fit in real good with them."

How did your meeting with Coach Orgeron go? "It was good. We talked about the social aspects to their school. We really never talked much about football, just what I could expect socially and academically."

Did this visit reaffirm your commitment to Ole Miss? "It did. It really did."

Which recruits did you get a chance to hang out with? "Brent Schaeffer, Jerrell Powe, and John Jerry. We pretty much went everywhere together."

What is your gut feeling with Cordera Eason? "He liked it a lot. I think he is going to come up there too, but it is his decision."

Derrick carries a 3.1 GPA / 18 ACT.
