Jason Fowler is the anchor for Tupelo's OL

Jason Fowler (OL, Tupelo, MS) - Jason particpated at the Army All-American combine in January. This event pits 400 of the top rising seniors.

Jason measured in at 6' 3", 273, according to Fowler, he had a growth spurt after the combine and is now up to 6' 5".

The three year starter for Tupelo does many things well on the field.

"I feel I have an equal balance between strength and speed. I run a 5.2 forty so I can get to where I need to be before the defense. I can get there faster than a defensive person most of the time," commented Jason Fowler.

What will Fowler have to work on for the next level?

"Probably my bench. I bench 275 right now. I need to get that up another 100 pounds before I report to college. I am not as strong as I need to be right now. That is going to be my number one goal this year, to get a lot stronger."

Which colleges are sending the most mail?

"I am getting a lot of letters from Auburn, LSU, North Carolina, and Ole Miss. Those are the ones that are sending me the most information. I get some more, but those send me the most. They want me to come to their Jr Day and (football) camps and stuff like that."

Has Jason had a chance to take in any Jr Days?

"I have been to Ole Miss and LSU. I am going to MSU in a couple of weekends."

What were Fowler's thoughts on each Jr Day?

"I thought Ole Miss was outstanding at Jr Day. The coaches were in your face. Coach Orgeron came up to me and my teammates and he already knew our names, what our jersey number was and everything. That impressed us. Their facilities are also great."

And LSU?

"They were not as in your face as Ole Miss' coaches because they were not as organized. They had Spring training going on and one of their coach's family member had passed away. But you could tell they have put a lot of money in their facilities. They were nice."

What are Fowler's thoughts with MSU?

"I went to their camp my 9th and 10th grade years. I thought their weight room was nice, and their practice facilities had a lot of space to do individual stuff to get a lot of work done. They just have a really nice place."

Which colleges are presently standing out the most for Jason?

"I think the one I am keeping me eye on is LSU. Ole Miss also seems like a good place to go. I would like to check out USM and see what they have. But at this point, I am keeping all of my options open."

When it comes decision time; what will be the factors?

"I want the academics to help me learn valuable stuff for the future, and I also want a coaching staff to help me get to the league."

Jason carries a 21 on the ACT and will participate at the scout.com combine that is being held at Ole Miss on April 30th.
