Lee Chambers receives second SEC offer

Lee Chambers (RB, Coffeeville, MS) - Mississippi looks to have another crop of promising running back prospects for the '07 class.

Included in this group is Lee Chambers who now holds two SEC offers.

"Mississippi State offered me Wednesday and South Carolina offered me yesterday," stated the excited Lee Chambers.

The Dogs were the first school to offer Chambers. What do they like about Lee's game?

"They think I have that extra gear. They want me to be a big part of their offense."

Lee reportedly runs a 4.38 forty. What else does he do well on the field?

"I have great vision, and I am strong and durable."

What will Chambers have to work on for the next level?

"I need to work on my size more than anything. I also need to get stronger (currently benches 275 and squats 455)."

Has Lee ever taken his speed to the track?

"Yes sir, I run track for us. I ran a 10.54 (100 meters) in last year's state finals."

On the football field, Chambers ran for 1, 445 yards and 19 TD's. He was named All-State (1A), Division, and Region for his play on the field.

Besides MSU and South Carolina, are there anymore colleges actively recruiting Lee?

"Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, USM, Florida, Auburn, and Iowa State are also writing me."

Which colleges are now at the top of Lee's list?

"Pretty much, I like South Carolina and Ole Miss right now. There are also some more I am looking at."

Like who?

"Georgia Tech, Florida, Auburn, and USM."

What stands out about South Carolina?

"I like the way they throw the ball to the backs. They like to do a lot of things with their tailback."

And Ole Miss?

"I like their strength and conditioning program. I learned all about their program when I went to their Jr Day. They took us to their training room and showed us how good they treat their players when they are injured. I also liked their indoor practice facility. They do things first class up there."

Where does MSU stand with Lee?

"I have some interest in them too. Their tailbacks are a big part of their offense. They like to get it to their tailback a lot."

And USM?

"I like how they win a lot. They have a great staff down there too. I have never been down there, but I really want to check their school out."

Where else will Lee visit this Spring?

"I was invited to the MSU Jr Day on Saturday, but I will not be able to go because of my track meet. It will probably be hard for me to go anywhere this Spring because of track. We have meets on Saturdays."

When it comes decision time; what will be the main factors for Lee?

"I am looking for early playing time and location will be big too. I do not want to go anywhere that is like 12 hours from home or anything like that. I am also looking for a good relationship with my position coach. If I have any problems, I need someone to talk to."

Lee will attend the scout combine at Ole Miss on April 30th.
