What did Otis Mays think about the game?
"I thought they looked good, real good.
I liked the QB who wore #8 (Billy Tapp). I thought he made a lot of good throws,"
added Otis Mays.
Otis was fourth in the state of Mississippi last season
in receptions with 58. He had over 770 yards receiving and 15 TD's.
makes Otis so good?
"My first step. The quickness I have off of my
first step is my biggest thing."
What will he need to work on for
the next level?
"I pretty much need to get my speed down to a 4.3."
Otis claims to presently run a 4.4 forty.
The '05 All-District and Region
pick has several schools who are in hot pursuit.
"Ole Miss, USM, MSU,
Memphis, Auburn, and Notre Dame are recruiting me hard. Notre Dame has already

colleges are now standing out for Otis?
"Right now, I am looking at
Ole Miss and MSU. Pretty much who ever makes the best offer will be where I go."
does Mays like about Ole Miss?
"I just like them because I have friends
and family down there. Plus, they recruit me the hardest. They are constantly
sending me letters and text messages. I know their coaches pretty good too. I
really feel at home at Ole Miss. It is in my back yard."
"Really, I have never been down there, but I like
Coach Croom. He is a good head coach. That is what got me in interested in them,
their coach. I like him and Coach Orgeron."
When it comes decision
time, what will be the main factors?
"Their academics will be the
main factor. The next thing will be their offense. Do they pass, run, or do both?
I like a passing offense."
Otis carries a 2.56 GPA.
Mays will participate at the scout combine at Ole Miss on April 30th.
