Nick Pieschel (OL, Ft. Lauderdale, FL) - Nick is looking to make a name for himself this year after playing behind the two time All-State and All-American selection, Sam Young, the past two seasons.

What does Nick do well on the field?

"I think me being so tall; they think I can not get low enough, but I am known to get real low. I get a lot of pancakes. I work on my squats a lot to keep me low on the defensive line and linebackers."

What will Pieschel have to work on for the next level?

"Right now, I am working out a minimum of two times a day. I work out at 5:00 am and 4:00 pm after school is out. I like to think real big. I am going to keep my head up and keep working hard to be my best."

Which colleges have begun to show interest in the St. Thomas product?

"I am getting a lot of letters from Central Florida, Ole Miss, Army, and Akron."

Nick took in the Ole Miss Spring game this past Saturday. How did his visit go?

"I thought it was great. Their facilities were something I have never seen before. Their indoor and field are both turf. They are so intense on every single player on every single play. I liked that about them."

How did Nick become interested in Ole Miss?

"They sent me a form saying I could come to their Spring game. I followed Coach Kehoe when was at Miami. I think he is one of the best OL coaches in America, so I wanted to go check them out. Coach Kehoe and Orgeron are a good combination."

Did Nick get a chance to talk to the Ole Miss coaches during his unofficial visit?

"Coach Kehoe gave me a flier to their football camp. I am thinking about going to it. They are real intense. I love that. They are always/always talking about getting better. I love that. Coach Orgeron is the same, just real intense and wants to get better."

Has Nick had a chance to take in anymore Spring visits?

"I went to Central Florida's Spring game."

How did his Central Florida visit go?

"I have always wanted to play in the SEC, but I like a lot of ACC schools too. Everything in the South is perfect for me. I like a lot of South schools. I am keeping my options open."
