Stefoin Francois holding impressive offers

Stefoin Francois (S, Marrero, LA) - One of the top safeties in the state of Louisiana is beginning to rack up some impressive offers.

"I have offers from LSU, Ole Miss, Clemson, Arkansas, and Texas," added Stefoin Francois. "Texas was the last school to offer me. Florida State is getting close."

In eight regular season games last season, Francois recorded a total of 141 tackles (67 solos and 74 assists), 5 1/2 sacks, and 2 picks. It is no wonder has rated Stefoin as one of the Top 100 prospects in the country.

What makes Stefoin so good?

"I think my ability to hit, cover, and I am well disciplined," stated the 6' 2", 215 hard hitting safety from East St. John. "I am also real strong (290 bench/390 squat), and that gives me the ability to shed blocks and make the big hit."

“The first thing that jumps out at you is that he will be a four-year starter on a Class 5A team,” said East St. John head coach Larry Dauterieve. “The kid has been in the line of fire. He has got great range and he will knock the snot out of you. When you see him on film he is always around the ball. And did I mention that he will knock your head off.”

Spring practice started on Monday. Have any coaches come to evaluate the young man?

"No, LSU is coming on Thursday and a couple more are coming next week. FSU, Ole Miss, and coach told me that Florida and Texas are also coming next week. I know for sure FSU is coming because they text messaged me yesterday and told me they were coming on Tuesday."

Which colleges are now at the top of Stephoin's list?

"LSU, Texas, and FSU."

Stefoin claims a 3.0 GPA and took the ACT test for the first time last Saturday.

Francois will attend the scout combine in Oxford on April 30th.
