Jamal Harvey makes his needed ACT score

Jamal Harvey (WR/S, Jacksonville, FL) - One of Ole Miss' key signees received the news he had been waiting on.

"I got back my (ACT) score today. I made what I needed. I was getting pretty anxious, but it was worth the wait. I am a full qualifier now," added Jamal Harvey.

When can Ole Miss expect Harvey to arrive in Oxford?

"I am moving over there at the end of the month. I will be there all summer."

The 6' 1", 200 pound product from Andrew Jackson had 25 catches for 400 yards and 12 TD's at receiver and 65 tackles and 5 interceptions on defense. He is projected to play one of the safety positions for Ole Miss.

Harvey's recruitment was an intense battle between Ole Miss and FSU. What finally made him decide on the Rebels than his home state school?

"It was tough on him. Florida State made a strong push. But his cousin and best friend, Michael Hicks, goes to Ole Miss. Ole Miss was on him from day one. I have known coach Orgeron for a long time, and I have a lot of trust in him. He will turn it around at Ole Miss and quickly too. I think Jamal liked Ole Miss because he can play early, play with his best friend, and get coached by quality coaches. I have known Coaches Hughes and Lubick at Ole Miss for a while too. Ole Miss just has a great staff. I just have a strong trust with that staff," commented Coach Sullivan, Andrew Jackson's head coach.

The recent news with Jamal has narrowed it down to just one high school signee who is still short on his ACT/SAT test, Jonathan Cornell. Jonathan retook the SAT test recently and is still waiting on the results. Cornell will have another chance to take the test in June, if needed.
